Rosco Fluorescent Lighting Sleeves/Tube Guards are a very reliable and cost-effective system for easy control of tough lighting scenarios- especially under fluorescents. In addition to the financial benefits of the sleeves, they protect against the potential disaster of glass shattering by containing the lamp within the end caps.

Rosco sleeves are constructed of a solid polycarbonate tube within which is held the specific filter. The choice of filters and combination of filters is endless - there are complete Roscolux, Cinegel or E-Colour color filter lines - something for every venue, every photographer, every cinematographer.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have three lens. Nikno 35mm, 18-140mm, and 70-300mm. Will I be able to use these with any of my lens and what kind of results can I expect? Thanks

A: Yes, you can use the extension tubes with these lenses. It will give you more magnification and will shorten the shooting distance. Autofocus is retained by these devices, however they may cause the lens' minimum focus distance to be so close that manual focus becomes required.

Q: 2. Are there threaded sockets at the top between legs to attach accessories like QD socket? Similar to TFC-14

A: The Really Right Stuff Ascend-14 Long Travel Carbon Fiber Tripod with Integrated Ball Head does not have a QD socket, but it does have a 1/4"-20 female threaded socket for accessories.

Q: 3. does it work with the d5200 ?

A: No. These extension tubes are not compatible with any of the Nikon D5000 series cameras.

Q: 4. What is the difference between these and the non deluxe version? MFR #DG-FU

A: These are 2 different brand tubes, one is made by Viltrox and the other is Vello. The build quality of the Vello tubes are better.

Q: 5. Will these tubes work with my 60mm macro on the D810?

A: I can't imagine any reason they wouldn't. They work fine adjusting the AF and aperture with a few lenses I've tried them with on my D750.

Q: 6. Should I get the one with the integrated ball head or the other one and get the BH-40? Some reviews say the ball-head is a compromise from other RRS ball heads

A: Depends on your desired use. If you want the tripod to be as light as possible, then get the integrated head. If you have particular taste or a favorite head like the BH-40, this would work very well with it. The BH-40 would introduce about an extra pound of weight, but the head would be more secure for large more telephoto lenses. Either way it works really well with the integrated head or the BH-40. I use the Ascend 14 with an Arca head and enjoy it. It's all a preference.

Q: 7. what lens can I use to get 1to1 copy of 16mm film frame?

A: If you have a full frame camera, I would recommend the 50mm Sony lens.

Q: 8. What sort of change in minimum focus distance could I expect on a Nikon 18-300 zoom on a D7500? Will the lenses still focus at infinity as well or do you need to take the tube out to use the lens for normal photography?

A: If you combine a 3 tubes, the magnification of the Nikon 18-300mm lens becomes 4.1x and the minimum focus becomes 4.49 inches. Without the tubes the lens has 0.32x magnification and the minimum focus is 18.8 inches. When using extension tubes, there will be no infinity focus.

Q: 9. I want to get the 1.4x or 2x converter to use on my Fuji 55-200 lens but I believe they are not compatible So, any suggestions on a non-Fuji brand converter? As an alternative I have used an extension tube to mate the converter to the body and then add lens on other mounts. Will this approach work with the Fuji X mount? Thanks

A: Yes, they will work but then you cannot use the camera built in auto focus function.

Q: 10. I have a Nikon D7000, and am hoping to use these tubes with a prime 35mm 1:1.8G lens. Will I be able to get close enough to shoot snowflakes? I believe (without checking) that the minimum focus distance with that lens is somewhere around 11.5 inches. (I am new to macro shooting so please excuse my lack of knowledge.) Thanks :-)

A: I also have a Nikon D7000, and the Vello extension tubes, but not your particular lens. This is what I find:Nikon 17-35 f/2.8 at 35 mm + 20 mm tube = 1.625 wide field, 1.5 distance from lens.Nikon 17-35 f/2.8 at 35 mm + 36 mm tube = 0.875 wide field, 0.25 distance from lens.Nikon 50 f/1.8G + 36 mm tube = 1.125 wide field, 2 distance from lensThe 36 mm tube will give the greatest reproduction ratio, as can be seen above, but you will be right on top of your subject. I have shot bugs with the above 50mm 1.8G + 20 mm tube to good effect, but your depth of field is quite small and can benefit from focus stack sets and related software. If you are wanting to shoot snowflakes, you might be able to avoid the shortcomings for small depth of field since snowflakes have minimal depth anyway. The very short lens/subject distance will make frontal lighting almost impossible, but if the flakes were on a glass sheet, you could light them from the back. Or, invest in a ring flash.Anyway, have fun.Chris
