If you wish to usea Anton Bauer 3 pin Gold Mount, you would need a 15mm rod system with cheese plate to hold a Anton Bauer battery adapter. You could use a kit such as the Wooden Camera Sony FS7 Pro Accessory Kit B&H # WOWC185000 and Wooden Camera Gold Mount Battery Plate B&H # WOWC194300; both will be available soon. There should be no problem with that configuration with the slicker.Finally, you should have no issue with a mic receiver hung on the side or the front handle.

A: We shoot handheld in a lot of rainy weather and it works well. Porta Brace works better than the other rain covers available. It's not 100 percent rain tight but it will work better than anything you can find. Alaska is really wet. It should provide the best protection.

A: I use the extension unit with a brick battery attached so it fits fine for me. I could see how it would be loose without that stuff. The only issue I had was trying to attach the control handle the best way possible. The only other slicker I've heard of is made by Camrade. I'm sure there are reviews out there somewhere. Good luck.
