A: We are not made aware of the reasons why a product is discontinued from the Manufacture. We can tell you that this monitor is an IPS screen, something the F7 was not. That means it uses a bit of a higher quality screen than the original monitor.

A: Unfortunately, the length of the AC cord is not provided/published by LG. The package includes a power supply and AC cord so it may be possible to get a longer AC cord to connect to the power supply or you could mount a surge protector higher on the standup desk to accommodate the AC cord length.
