Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how long is the length of cable from the XLR connectors to where they meet?

A: the 6' cable splits in half (3') where the mini plug end breaks into the 2 xlrs

Q: 2. how long is the length of cable from the XLR connectors to where they meet?

A: Hi Greg, the length of cable between the XLR connection to where they both meet is approximately 16 inches.

Q: 3. What is the size of the mini end? is it 1/8 ?

A: Yes 1/8 on one end, 1/4 on the other.

Q: 4. Does this cable allow for both L/R channels to remain separate (allowing a L/R panned mix to stay L/R when input to a DSLR)?

A: Yes, it's designed to take a stereo signal and split it into separate L&R outputs. Best regards, Hosa Support.

Q: 5. Is this a mono XLR or a 2 channel XLR cable?

A: Not sure. I ASSUMED 2 channel, but I didn't do anything to test that assumption.

Q: 6. ... each TRS connecter in this cable??

A: Hi Jose, The two "Y" ends of this cable meet in the center. In the case of the 6-foot cable, they would meet roughly at 3 feet. This was a change we made after the product was released. That means models that were previously purchased may be different and have a shorter split. Thank you for considering Hosa for your connectivity needs. Best regards, Hosa Support Team

Q: 7. How will the tracks record if this was used with a DJI Mic system (two mics and one receiver) connected to a Zoom recorder via 3.5mm to dual XLR?

A: In theory it should work. The DJI receiver has a 3.5mm unbalanced TRS jack so that should split ok to two separate channels on your Zoom with this adapter. I've not tried that personally, but seems like it would work.

Q: 8. If this is used with a pair of mics, will the recorded signal from each be blended, or will the two signals be hard panned left and right?

A: Never tried it. I've always used these for getting stereo output from an iPad or iPod into a console. Sorry I couldn't answer your question.

Q: 9. Is this cable suitable to connect a Tascam 70D recorder line out to a DLSR camera mic line in?

A: Yes, this could be used to connect the 70D to a DSLR with a 3.5mm mic input. Please make sure the 70D output level is set as camera out when making that connection.

Q: 10. My JBL audio speakers are separated 43 inches approx. What is the distance maximum between each XLR connecter in this cable??

A: About 36" apart.

Had to do music at a wedding. When I hooked up this unit it allowed me to go stereo line-in on my mixture to my nano pod which worked great the single channel would not work at all. Thank goodness I bought both. I highly recommend this product.

Exactly what I needed to sync a treadmill and ultrasound unit. Works great so far. Only downfall is I wish they sold longer ones.

I was using a camcorder to video tape a live band and wanted to bypass the camcorders built-in microphones, so I could get the audio from the bands mixer output. The mixer out was stereo male jack and the Camcorder 3.5mm. Stereo socket. This stereo Mini male to stereo 10' cable work great for me and I would recommend it if you are looking for this type of cable.
