Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is it weather proff?

A: I would not recommend that you use it in any rain and or snow etc. It is not weather proof , but if you put some kind of a hood over it to protect it , that might work.

Q: 2. I realize this is a subjective question, but how loud is this when panning/tilting? I'm thinking of using it at the back of a church sanctuary, directly behind a pew. It wouldn't have to be whisper quiet, but can't be distracting or startling if we moved the camera during a quiet moment.

A: Mike, I'm very familiar with the church environment and what it takes to be felt and not seen; or in this situation heard. This unit is extremely quiet and will not be a distraction, even during the preaching of a sermon.

Q: 3. Does the pan head use a servo motor or stepping motor?

A: This item does not include a servo or stepping motor.

Q: 4. Does this come with a wired remote control? It shows in the picture, but not in the description

A: In the box, it lists a remote control for the MP-101, as well as a 50' extension cord for it.

Q: 5. Is there any way to make this to be controlled wirelessly?

A: Yes, with the purchase of the CamRanger PT Hub AND the purchase of the CamRange (not the MP-360 & not the PT Hub, online searches can get confusing). The CamRanger provides the wireless connection to an iPad (any iOS device running latest iOS) and allows remote control of the camera functions by itself, but does not provide remote control of the MP-360. This device costs about $300-$350.The PT Hub connects the MP-360 to the CamRanger so the MP-360 can be controlled from an iPad using CamRanger application. This device costs about $120. Both the CanRanger and the PT Hub are needed to wirelessly control the MP-360 motorized tripod head. The CamRanger web site indicates an Android version of the CamRanger software is in the works.

Q: 6. can this stand on its own ie can you place it flat on the floor ? or it needs to be elevated?

A: You can set it flat on the floor.

Q: 7. Can this sit on a flat surface or does it have to be mounted on a tripod?

A: It can but not real steady, i highly reccomend a small tripod if you need it close to a flat surface.

Q: 8. Can this unit pan and tilt at the same time?

A: Yes it will, but it would be better if it came with a joystick. I currently am looking into converting it to a Wii nunchuck and Arduino uno.

Q: 9. Can the cable be extended beyond the 50ft as suggested above ^^^ whats the max length of extension?

A: Hello! You can connect the cables up to 250' before signal degradation occurs. Thanks!Bescor

Q: 10. Hello, could you please explain me what's the difference between this product and CamRanger MP-360 Motorized Pan/Tilt Tripod Head? Look same, price is the same as well..

A: These two items are identical, made in the same factory and are made available for purchase by two different distributors.
