At a much higher price is the Metabones adapter which does support the electronics. I have not tried this one, but I have used the mechanical ones in full manual mode. Ultimately, all those special lenses with adapters stay in the closet. The only ones in the travel bag are the Sony 18-105 and the Sony 10-18. Most of my Canon lenses have been sold off.
