A: I use the 70-300 with my T3i, it is my go to lens most of the time. I have a 100-400. Use it sparingly as it weights like 5.5lbs! AND s MUCH less expensive than the 100-400. I would say go with the 70-300 and purchase the 100-400 later if you find a real need. For me the 100-400 us used mostly to shoot wave crashes on lighthouses, where I am 1/4-1 mile away!

A: Yes, this lens will work with the 7D, and in all shooting modes.

Q: 9. Can this be used with an adapter on a sony a7iii?

A: At this time there aren't any adapters from Canon RF lens to Sony E mount camera and I believe there won't be because it would add too much space between the lens and the camera and the camera won't be able to focus to infinity any longer. It would require an optic in the adapter and that reduces image quality.

Q: 10. Good morning, Interested if the Lens hood can still be used at the same time as a 82mm ND Filter placed on the front of the lens with a 77 to 82mm adapter? Would the Lens Hood have to be taken off in that case? Thank you

A: The hood can only be used when using a 77mm filter since the lens is made for use with 77mm filters. A larger filter would interfere with the manufacturers hood on any lens. If your 82mm filter has front threads you can use a 3rd party screw on 82mm hood instead.
