A: I contacted Phottix concerning your inquiry. According to Phottix, no, the Phottix Atlas II receiver is not compatible for use with the Phottix Ares II transmitter. The Phottix Atlas II and Phottix Ares II have different frequencies and are not compatible with one another. The Phottix Ares II would be compatible with the Odin II, Strato II, and Odin Lite line of remote triggers and they recommend upgrading to the newer Ares II flash triggers.

A: According to Elinchrom, each camera model requires the transmitter designed for that brand. Since you and your studio partner shoot with different brands of cameras, you would need two different remotes.

A: If you own the Elinchrom D-Lite RX 4 kit, it would be fully compatible for use with Elinchrom's Hi-Sync system. If you are using the Elinchrom D-Lite IT 4 kit, while it would be compatible with Hi-Sync, the transmitter will not display the power of the flash, and you will not have power control of the flash from the transmitter. The D-Lite RX would allow you to manually control the flash's output power from the transmitter, and would display the flash's power setting on the transmitter. The Elinchrom D-Lite kits are designed for AC power. If using a generator or power inverter, as long as the units are designed and capable to handle the power draw from the monolight kits, there should be no affect to the monolight's output.
