A: Yes the lens portion of the DCR threads into any 43mm diameter lens filter thread. I also purchased a 77 to 43 step down ring made by Raynox, as most of my lens are 77mm filter mount or have step-up rings to 77mm. The snap on mount is of limited use and won't attached to larger filter mount lenses

A: We cannot test so it is my opinion that if you were to attach this somehow, the image would vignette and be out of focus.
