The Daiwa-80 D1 Tripod System is an all-in-one stabilization kit that provides a sturdy, flexible foundation for ENG and EFP applications. Including fluid head, tripod and dolly, it's the solid base on which any production should be built.

The Daiwa-80 fluid head, with its load capacity of up to 48.5 lbs, is ideal for large digital camera configurations used in professional broadcast, educational and corporate productions. This head is perfectly counterbalanced through a tilt range of +60/-75 degrees, for cameras ranging between 26 to 48.5 lbs (12-22kg).

The 209 Tripod's two sections make for quick and easy set-up and fold-down. Constructed of all-aluminum rail, these sturdy legs extend to 61" (155cm) and feature a leg locking design that won't permit slippage or over compression (leg damage). The leg pivots are self-adjusting and come with a 100mm claw ball base and eye hook for cable or accessories.

The DY-9 Heavy-duty Dolly is designed for quiet, smooth and effortless tripod movement on studio floors. All wheel castors utilize non-marking, non-setting polyurethane tires mounted on stainless steel rims that rotate on needle bearings. Each wheel has positive locking in both radial and axial rotation with step-on/step-off design.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. 1. Which is better for stability: aluminum or aluminum alloy? 2. What is diameter of bottom leg?3. Is head removable?4. Does center column reverse / is removable? Thanks.

A: All aluminum tripods are aluminum alloy. The diameter of the bottom leg is 10mm. Both the head and center column are removable, and the center column is reversible.

Q: 2. Do the legs on this tripod lock in the closed position? I don't mean extending them, I mean at the pivot point. Do they lock closed or can they be swung to open without pressing the release?

A: The legs do not lock closed, but they also don't need to be unlocked in order to swing into the primary position. Wider leg angles can be achieved by released the lock on the top before spreading the legs apart further.

Q: 3. Can this head pan horizontally without any vertical movement?

A: No, the ball head cannot be locked vertically in order for it to pan horizontally.

Q: 4. With a camera mounted and the ball head locked into a vertical position, will it REALLY hold the camera in position or is there a danger of failure or breaking the ball head?

A: Yes, this will hold a camera with a lens in the weight limited listed which is 4.5 LB. I would not go over 3 LB just to be careful.

Q: 5. Does the maximum height include having the center column raised all the way?

A: Yes, the maximum height of the fully extended legs is 50 with the center column at full-extension adding another 14 to get to the maximum 64 height. This is best as a travel or backpackers tripod for a mirrorless camera or DSLR with a compact zoom. I would classify it as light duty and perfect for micro 4/3 cameras like mine.

Q: 6. Can the quick release clamp be removed from the ball head and replaced with an Arca type clamp?

A: No, the quick release platform cannot be removed from the ball head. However, you can replace the head with Slik's Arca Swiss compatible ball head, the SH-180 DS.

Q: 7. Can it be uses without the removable quick-release plate - that is use the standard screw only to mount point and shoot camera?

A: No, it cannot. The Slik Sprint 150 Aluminum Tripod with SBH-150DQ Ball Head requires the use of the included quick release plate to connect a camera to the tripod. Without the quick release plate, there is no screw onto which to connect a camera to the tripod.

Q: 8. Can the pan and tilt head from the Slik U9000 also be used on this tripod?

A: No, the head from the U9000 is not removable.

Q: 9. What is the difference between the Slik Sprint 150 and the Slik Sprint Pro II ?

A: The Slik Sprint II Pro has a lower weight capacity 4.5 pounds, whereas the Slik Sprint 150 can hold up to 6.6 pounds. There are also differences in the maximum and minimum possible heights; the Slik Sprint Pro II has a max height of 63.6 and a minimum height of 6.7, compared to the Slik Sprint 150 maximum height of 64.3 and minimum height of 7.4 . Additionally, the Slik Sprint Pro II is an aluminum tripod, while the Slik Sprint 150 is an aluminum alloy product.

Q: 10. What is the thickness of the mount base? Is it compatible with a 1/4 - 20 Thread mount head?

A: Yes this is compatible with 1/4-20 thread
