A: This should not effect the focusing system much. If you were using anything 6-stop or more, the you may see varying results, but because it is only a 3-stop, you would be more than fine.

A: Yes vignetting is likely to appear since Moment 72mm Variable Neutral Density 0.6 to 1.5 Filter is thick and that lens is very wide and if you are using that lens on a full frame camera.

A: Put the camera on a tripod, manual focus then screw the the filter on carefully. Cover the viewfinder as light leaks on long exposure. Take the photo with a cable release or 2 second timerIt is for very long exposures for minute. Cool cloud effects. i doubt if you could see throu the 3 stop either. They all are for tripod use
