The Meridian Technologies DR-1S2A-3 Singlemode 10-Bit S-Video Receiver Card incorporates digital encoding technology with fiber optics. The module receives (1) real-time, simplex 10-bit S-Video NTSC signal, along with (2) simplex channels of 24-bit quality audio over one optical fiber channel, for a distance up to.

Enhanced functionality includes compatibility with Meridian's PC based SpectraSmart software system. SpectraSmart supervises the operating parameters of the transmission system such as the status on video levels, sync, digital carrier detect, voltages, temperatures, and optical levels.

Q: 1. What’s is The transmitting latency with this new design?

A: Hi Jason, the latency is 80ms.

Q: 2. Could I use 2 of these for SDI IN & OUT on a BMD micro Studio camera for video, tally and comms?

A: You can certainly use them for Video, but it will not carry Tally and Comms.

Q: 3. Can I record wireless externally on the atomos if I hook it up with the Shogun?

A: Using the Hollyland Mars 400S PRO SDI/HDMI Wireless Video Transmission System as a way to get the signal from the camera to the recorder should work; we see no red flags to say no. However, any blip or drop or defect in the signal will be recorded. We suggest that direct recording is the correct method.

Q: 4. Is this a battery life indicator on the transmitter unit? Hard to know when the battery is about to die otherwise.

A: Yes, the Hollyland Mars 400S PRO SDI/HDMI Wireless Video Transmission System does display a battery voltage indicator on the transmitter unit to monitor battery level of the battery attached to the transmitter.

Q: 5. Its allow direct USB capture to computer?

A: It will not allow for direct USB capture to a computer.

Q: 6. Can I feed HDMI in, and plug in SDI out on the other end?

A: Yes, you won't be able to use both at the same time with a single unit. But, you can feed in HDMI in on the transmitter and go SDI out on the receiver (vice versa).

Q: 7. Re: Will this transmit to the SmallHD 7" Cine 7 On-Camera 500 RX Monitor? I was talking about via the wireless technology not cords.

A: No, the SmallHD 500 RX is designed for Bolt 500 transmitters.

Q: 8. Can one receiver go to two difference devices? The plan would be the camera feed from one transmitter to one receiver, and then from that receiver to two different ATEM Mini Pro switches.

A: The transmitter will be able to send the signal to a 2nd receiver. BH #HOM400SPRORX is the part number for a 2nd receiver. However you cannot go from 2 Receivers to 1 Transmitter. https://bhpho.to/2MOPrSG

Q: 9. Can the receiver transmit out through BOTH SDI and HDMI at the same time... (hdmi for my external monitor and SDI to my streaming box)....or just one or the other? Thanks!

A: Yes, the receiver can output an HDMI and SDI signal at the same time.

Q: 10. They came with batteries

A: The Hollyland Mars 400S PRO SDI/HDMI Wireless Video Transmission System comes with a DC power adapter. You need to purchase batteries or another DC Power adapter to power the other unit.
