Q: 9. Why doesn't shutter activate via the shutter release cable when connected to the Fuji XT-3?

A: The electronics inside the slider will need to support and communicate with Fuji's XT-3 camera in order to activate the shutter. This would need to be updated through a firmware update through the manufacturer, if/when they enable support for electronic communication with the Fuji XT-3.

Q: 10. is this slider quiet enough for interviews?

A: That depends on your set up, the space that you are in, and your tolerance for noise. This Slider is relatively quiet yet some customers say that it is too loud for interviews. Others have attained excellent audio quality using much louder slider set ups. Here are a few tips for collecting good interview audio regardless of how loud/quiet your slider is. 1. Make sure there is some distance between the slider and your subject. The close the slider is to your subject the more likely you are to pick up the sound of the slider. 2. Make sure your microphones are closer to your subject than they are to the slider. It is generally a bad idea to mount a microphone on your camera if that camera is on a slider. this is because the slider motor will be much closer to your microphone than your subject and therefore the slider motor will be fairly loud regardless of how "silent" the motor is. It is also generally a good idea to get the microphone as close to your talent as possible whether you have a slider involved or not. 3. collect room tone with the slider on. tip 1 and 2 should limit or eliminate any slider noise from your audio but in case there isn't enough room to get sufficient distance between your subject and microphone from the slider capture some audio of the room in silence while the slider motor is running. this will help you create a noise print to eliminate the slider noise in post production.
