The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.

The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.

This version of the E6s is tan and comes with a 1mm diameter cable. It terminates to a 4-pin Hirose connector for use with specific* Audio-Technica wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. My VideoMicro is not functioning on my BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera. Are they not compatible?

Q: 2. will this rode video micro work with the Sony hdrcx900 camcorder?

A: The Rode VideoMicro is compatible with the Sony HDR CX900.

Q: 3. Does it work with a Nikon D3400?

A: The Nikon D3400 does not have a 3.5mm audio input, so it is not compatible with a RODE VideoMicro Ultracompact Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone (BH #ROVIDEOMICRO • MFR #VIDEOMICRO).

Q: 4. Which is better for recording music covers videomicro or videomic go ?

A: For that type of application I rely on dual recording system. Attach your favourite audio recorder to the sound console the instruments are plugged into. Then sync them in post.If you only want reference ambient audio, this mic will do just fine.

Q: 7. So as the rode website suggests it can work with smartphones with trrs jack via sc7 cable lastly just wanted to know does a samsung galaxy s5 have a trrs jack type ?

A: The Samsung Galaxy S5 offers a TRRS headphone/microphone jack a d this mic should work with it.

Q: 8. When using this mic, can you also use the 3.5mm mic jack input at the same time for a second source of audio (like with a rode wireless go plugged in there)??

A: If you are attaching the ECM-B1M to a camera with the Multi Interface Shoe, you would not be able to use the 3.5mm input at the same time. If you want to use two mics or an on-camera mic and wireless system or two wireless systems at the same time with a camera that has a single 3.5mm mic input, you can use a two-channel mixer that mounts on the camera. There are different types of mixers (active and passive) to accommodate mics that require power or mics that have their own power source. Beachtek's DXA-GO (B&H# BEDXAGO) is passive mixer with two 3.5mm inputs for mics and was designed for use with the Rode Wireless GO system. Comica Audio's CVM-AX3 Dual-Channel Audio Mixer (B&H# COCVMAX3) is an active (battery-powered) mixer that has two XLR-1/4" combo jacks and two 3.5mm inputs for a variety of mics and/or wireless systems which also has gain controls for each channel as well as additional features such as a dedicated headphone output. These are just two examples of the options available for setups that will allow you to use a combination of two mics.
