I am a professional musician and use that exact camera-mic setup to record my live performances. People have told me that it feels like you are actually there. It is a stereo mic with a nice X-Y pattern to capture enough ambient noise. It has a more focused sound field the closer it is placed to the subject and gets wider as distance increases.
