Allows the included wall switch, as well as devices such as automation systems, third-party wall switches, and remotes that support LVC, to raise or lower the screen remotely.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the D500 be able to use newer SD cards, like the UHS II versions, to be able to benefit from faster read and write times?

A: This camera uses UHS-I memory cards.

Q: 2. Are shutter counts part of nikons refurb process?

A: No, a refurb camera is completely overhhauled and the shutter count is basically zero, kind of like rebuilding an engine, mileage does not apply.

Q: 3. Snapbridge ap for D500 is not working.

A: I would contact Nikon support to further assist you with troubleshooting that.

Q: 4. will a sd card achieve the same frame rate as a xqd card in a Nikon d500 body?

A: Frame rate is still 10fps, however, the buffer fills much faster with SD card because it is slower than XQD so you might only get 30 shots before it slows down waiting on the buffer instead of 200 like with the XQD. Also, other things like Auto-ISO may also slow down performance.

Q: 5. What is the aspect ratio?

A: The aspect ratio of the sensor is 3:2.

Q: 6. I have noticed that the BL-5 plus EN-EL 18 fit and work in the MB-D17 battery grip for the D500. My question is, will this work or can it be harmful to my D500 ?

A: I'm not sure if it would work. It appears the BL-5 is for the 800 series of cameras and I'm not sure about the voltage for the 800 series versus the D500. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

Q: 7. i can record video in 2 slots at same time?

A: According to the instruction manual for the Nikon D500 DSLR camera, when using two memory cards in the camera, under the [Movie Shooting Menu] under [Destination], you msu choose the slot to which movies are recorded; either the XQD card slot or the SD card slot. You cannot choose to record videos to both cards simultaneous. View pages 96 and 288 in the camera's instruction manual. (You may record still images to both cards depending on the choice you select under the [Primary Slot Selection] and [Secondary Slot Selection] under the Photo Shooting Menu, but this is not possible for video/movie recording).

Q: 8. Can you bypass the CMOS negative voltage buffer with an XPS-12 or XPS-19a chipset to get an extra 2 stops of dynamic range like you can with the D800? Also are the test points still the same as the D800 for the 6K video out hack ?

A: This is not something we recommend doing, as it is dangerous for the equipment as it easily leads to overheating and it voids the warranty.

Q: 9. Will the SB600 flash unit work with this camera?

A: Yes, Just used mine this weekend to take some Christmas photos of a friend's family. Automatically adjusts to the zoom of the 24-80mm lens. No wireless operation.

Q: 10. No light meter?

A: This camera has a meter that lets you know if the subject is dark or light with a bar in the viewfinder . I shoot manual most of the time and it helps.
