This 77 Formatt Hitech HD ND Glass Filter is a solid neutral density filter providing a 8-stop reduction in exposure. This 2.4 density creates a darkening of the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a wider aperture or longer shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field and convey movement more easily. This filter is constructed from Schott Superwite glass to maintain high optical clarity and is set within a 4mm-thick metal filter ring.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be used to upgrade an Ultra Studio Express?

A: No, they are completely different products.

Q: 2. What write-speed does it need in a Compactflash card for top quality recording? Is there a significant difference between a card with a write speed of 120 MB/s and one with 160 MB/s? Also, does this camera work with any size of memory card -- 32MB/64 MB/128MB or is there a particular size it requires? Thank you very much.

A: I use a 160 MB Write speed and 32 GB storage on my XF100 and it works perfectly. This is a great camera, give it the faster speed so it can perform to its fullest.

Q: 3. Can I use SD Cards with the XF 100?

A: We're afraid not. The XF100 records to Compact Flash cards only. The SD card slot is for picture profiles, not recording.

Q: 4. What are the differences between the canon xa 20& canon xa25?

A: I think the main difference is that the 25 as SDI HD output port and the 20 doesn't.wayne

Q: 5. Can I input and output different signals at the same time with this?

A: You have 1 SDI input and 2 SDI outputs. You can be taking a av feed from that while you output a different source like a youtube video or graphics or some other source. I've used programs like wirecast or OBS to accomplish this. However, the 2nd output is just a loop of the 1st output so you can't output 2 different things at the same time as it is natively.

Q: 6. Does Canon XA20 have zoom speed control feature? Is it possible to zoom slowly or very slowly without using the front Focus/Zoom control ring manually?Potential Buyer Of XA20

A: Speed is adjustable. Slow, normal and fast. I have found the zoom on the camera to be really easy to use. When using a tripod I use a remote zoom as well. That is my favorite, when possible, because of the size of the paddles.

Q: 7. I would like to record a long dance recital. How do you think this camera would hold up? Does it allow direct plug into a power outlet for long periods of recording? Does it automatically break up recordings into 10 or 20 minute video "chunks"? Thanks

A: This camcorder will work very well for Long Dance Recitals. You will be able to record video for as long as the memory card allows. Most camcorders like this may break up the video, but if you follow the proper protocols for work flow in to your editing program, the clips will appear as they were recorded. An AC power supply is included.

Q: 8. Does the record feature also turn on the camera's recording function so you can record to an external drive or internal camera?

A: The Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Shuttle HD has no external controls.

Q: 9. Will this output Key and Fill from ProPresenter 7 on the two SDI outputs when the input is Thunderbolt 3 from a Mac Mini?

A: Yes, as long as thunderbolt 3 is native, not a converter from 2 to 3.

Q: 10. Is it possible to quickly switch between clip playback and HDMI Passthrough? I have an ATEM Mino Pro which has 4 inputs, I have a 4 camera shoot, I'd like to be able to run one camera into the HDMI input of the hyperdeck, and then run the hyperdeck into the ATEM. I'd then like to just output the HDMI signal, but then when I need to play a clip either trigger it from the device or ATEM software control and have it switch. Then switch the HDMI output back to the input feed.

A: When in record mode the camera signal will be shown. And simply pressing Play on the Hyperdeck Shuttle will start playing clips.
