The Dot Line RS-0412P Extended Stealth Flash Bracket Kit for Pentax PTTL cameras is a rotating flash bracket that has been designed to fit very snug to the camera, allowing the photographer to operate the camera as though there were no bracket attached. This makes it easy to keep the camera attached to the bracket at all times. This Extended version of the Stealth bracket raises the flash 7" (17.8 cm) above the lens, which allows it to be also used with cameras that have a battery booster/vertical grip added to them.

Flash brackets are designed to increase the distance between the flash head and the lens in order to minimize the occurrence of redeye and to also reduce flash-shadows behind the subject. The pivoting flash arm keeps the flash positioned over the lens in both horizontal and vertical positions.

This kit comes supplied with the necessary off-camera flash cord, which maintains all PTTL functions of Pentax K20D, K200D, K10D, K100D and K7 digital cameras

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with the XH-1 and the XPro 3 with the Fujifilm EF-X500 flash?

A: I have noticed comments online about people using the Canon OCSC with Fuji cameras. Many have said it works but i'm not sure you will have full communication between camera and flash. You would be much better off using a wireless trigger between the camera and flash. Click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/336nc7V

Q: 2. My Canon T3i supports e-ttl but the cords seem all to saw ttl but compatible. Am I losing the e when using these cables?

A: E-TTL is just the nomenclature for Canon's proprietary TTL system. Using these cables will still keep everything E-TTL.

Q: 3. Does it work with a Pentax AF201 flash and a Ricoh GR III camera?

A: Yes they are compatible

Q: 4. Will this cord work properly with a Vivitar DF 383 flash for Pentax? I actually tried the Vivitar equivalent of this off camera flash cord and the flash, which worked nicely mounted to the hot shoe of the camera, would not fire when in the TTL mode.

A: A TTL cord is really just an extension of the hotshoe. Technically it should work. If it does not it can be a few different reasons. One it is the camera and the cord that is not compatible. Or the flash is a little different than other Pentax compatible flashes. Or the Vivitar cord you have is defective.

Q: 5. Can you link two of these cords and make it twice as long?

A: Hi, Brian, I thik so. I think it is possible to link two of these cords and make twice as long. I can not find any point why should it be impossible.

Q: 6. Does the Pentax version work with Samsung NX TTL flash, specifically the NX300 and NX1?

A: I use this item with a Metz flash and a pentax k3, can't help you with your combo

Q: 7. Does this cable work with the Godox V860II Fuji and a Fuji XT2 ?

A: Works with Fuji X-T2

Q: 8. The flash works on shoe on top of camera. I take the flash off and hook up ttl cord. I power up the flash and camera and take another picture. Flash doesn't go off!?!? Must have a bad cord. Should have asked for a canon cord for Christmas.

A: Blake, it's definitely not the batteries. I have several Vello's cords of different lengths and have had similar issues. When it's mounted on the shoe the flash works fine, but when mounted on a bracket with the Vello's TTL cord, it's hit or miss whether the flash fires or not. I notice especially when the bracket is tilted in portrait (Vertical) mode. Probably indicative that there is something wrong with the connections. Could be that the cord isn't long enough (1.5' cord) when tilted and throws off the connections. I've noticed other comments on here that the cords aren't really as long as they say they are.

Q: 9. Does high speed sync works? Can I trigger a flash at f 1/750?

A: Yes it works fine with the Canon T3I. You should have no problem once your camera is set correctly.

Q: 10. Does this work with the Pentax kp?

A: Yes it is compatible with the Pentax KP.
