The Deluxe Memory Man Pedal from Electro-Harmonix is an analog delay pedal with chorus and vibrato effects. This version of the Deluxe Memory Man is an exact reissue of the original Deluxe Memory Man, but upgraded with true bypass. Your Deluxe Memory Man can be used on its own or in combination with other effects devices. The unit comes with a 24 VDC-100mA power supply.

The Deluxe Memory Man is equipped with a bypass footswitch that allows you to switch the effect in and out. The analog delay effect has three controls to it: Blend, Feedback, and Delay Time. In addition, there is a Depth control which sets the amount of modulation applied to your tone in the selectable sweet analog Chorus and Vibrato modes. The Level knob can be set so that the Overload LED blinks on with the loudest notes you play.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. if you overdub something, how do you get the audio file out of the looper to use somewhere else?

A: Thank you for your question. The only way to remove a loop is to plug the audio output of this pedal and record it on to an external audio recorder or into a computer with an audio interface.

Q: 2. How much weight you have to carry on you , when its fully assembled ?

A: The Tilta Armor Man 3 weighs 15.32kg.

Q: 3. Has anyone ever tried this with an electric violin? Seriously thinking about this for my Strat, but if it is awesome with a NS Design Wav 5 that could seal the deal immediately...

A: An electric violin with passive pickup will require pre-amplification to utilize this pedal.

Q: 4. Does it actually help you lift heavier things and can you be very agile in it

A: Yes it enables you to lift heavy camera systems by redistributing the weight across your body. It also reduces fatigue enabling you to work with heavy gear for longer periods of time. Your agility will vary depending on physical fitness, the weight of the gear, and how comfortable you are working with this vest. It is possible to run in this vest however we wouldn't recommend it until you've gotten very familiar with how it limits your movements and shifts your center of gravity.

Q: 5. Is the power supply multi or just 110v?

A: The included power supply with the Electro Harmonix Memory Boy Pedal is only rated for use on the US 110-120VAC standard.

Q: 6. Can more than one preset be stored and recalled? Also will there be bluetooth connectivity?

A: There is no Bluetooth connectivity. You can toggle between one preset and live while operating.

Q: 7. Will this work in my smoke detector at home that accepts 9V batteries?

A: Yes it will , I would test the smoke detector every so often

Q: 8. right angle or straight 3.5mm plug?

A: The Electro-Harmonix EHX Hot Lynx Earbuds with Remote and Mic (BH #ELEHXHOTLYNX) features a 1/8" / 3.5 mm TRRS Male Straight plug.

Q: 9. Is this normal? When I turn on the one man crew and start it in the left direction when it reaches the end of the track it stops and makes a loud knocking noise... then it will go right or I need to push the right button. After that it functions normally. But is that common? It doesn't seem correct. Please let me know so I can send this back before my 30 days are up. Thank you!

A: It's been a while since I used our slider but I don't remember it making a loud sound anytime.

Q: 10. can this amp be used for a keyboard as well?

A: It can! In addition, its unique in that it offers true stereo inputs, which many keyboard amps don't offer.

Sound wave surfer devise. I would recommend it as first synthesizer or a meditation tool. Love that it works on batteries lots of fun anywhere. You can take it outside, to your job, school or a park. Great gadget!

The Korg Monotron Delay is a very immediate and fun sound design machine and processor. What's especially unique about it is that the filter comes after the delay. You can process incoming audio or the oscillator and control the tone of the repeats with the onboard filter, which is taken from the MS20 synth and is a personal favorite of mine. There is no resonance control to the filter but it's set at a very tasty level. This makes for a very creative sonic landscape. The internal oscillator is a saw waveform and can be modulated with either a triangle or a square LFO. Matched with the delay, this delivers some very spacey and interesting sounds. I would say the Monotron Delay is best suited for external processing and making samples. The ribbon controller doesn't offer any precise control and to get a precise pitch is pretty difficult. The ribbon controller offers continuous control of pitch, so sweeps are possible by running your finger up or down the ribbon. I used mine to make a sample library, incorporating the delay in my sound design as the layering of repeats with the filter and the modulation of the LFO makes for some pretty large sounds. I really like how fast the LFO goes. It goes into the audio range for analog-FM style tones. The real magic of this synth comes with the automation of the parameters, delivering hands on motion to otherwise static sounds. A vast array of sonic textures can VERY easily be coaxed out of this with little prior experience. The Monotron Delay delivers wild sonic textures that are at home in any electronic music track looking for something to give it some grimy analog grit.

Along with all of Universals pedals, this is a beauty. Pricey but worth it for the various delays included

Alright I'm a Korg fan. Have the Monotron Duo, which is awesome especially since you can play it in tune, but the Delay is extra amazing. It is way more versatile than any youtube video would lead you to believe...just subtle alterations of the knobs open gateways to truely otherworldly sounds. Think 50s science fiction movies. I use a Nintendo DS stylus on the ribbon controller, works better than fingers. Excellent machine at an unbeatable price for making burbling, crazy noises to compliment your tracks. Pure fun.

Absolutely dead on emulations. Not to mention expandability thru usb c as well as a solid construction build. An absolute deal at this price for a hardware/software unit of this magnitude

Consider the monotron delay a dynamite toy for grown folks. It's function is not necessarily musical and I don't use it directly in my musical pursuits, but it provides an abstract function that feeds my music in the intangible. As a tool for meditation it is far out indeed.

For those interested in small and portable synth setups, there isn't much when it comes to battery operated delay units. This is where the Monotron Delay comes in. The internal synth isn't bad and good for noodling around, but once you route a TE Pocket Operator (or any battery powered synth for that matter) through the audio in and delay, you'll see why this little machine is great for small/portable setups. Sure the delay is lo-fi, and maybe this machine could be about $15-20 less for the build quality, but still worth it.
