A: Sure, a speed light can make this strip soft box work while maintaining a portable, lightweight set-up for off camera flash portraits. Given the lower flash output of a sppedligaht, however, you might want to use that set up indoors or in low light situations outdoors so that you have some latitude in changing output to enhance your exposures. You can get a bit more output also if you decide to not hang the inner diffuser; that might help give an additional one-half stop or more.
Q: 5. What diameter shaft would I need to be compatible with the Godox AD600 Pro and the AD200 Pro?
A: The AD600 Pro and AD200 Pro can accept either an 8mm or 7mm umbrella shaft.
Q: 6. Will the 7mm shaft fit into the Elinchrom ELB-500 head without an adapter?
A: Yes it can work on a ELB 500.
Q: 7. I know it is 3ft (36in), but is it 1ft wide or 2ft?
A: The Manufacture hasn't provided the full dimensions for this softbox yet since it is new. My estimate is 7.5 inches wide.
