These connectors are changeable in the field, and the USB port is reversible; letting you choose whether the Type A or Type B connector is on the front panel.

The panel has active circuitry that automatically performs all of the level, impedance, and topology conversion needed for correct interfacing, letting you connect any device you want without worrying about whether or not it's going to work. Q: 5. Can I use this to mount a modern sony flash on an antique Hasselblad hotshoe? I mean, to physically fix it, and not burn or short circuit something. I intend to trigger it with the sync chord, and I dont care about TTL.

A: No, the Vello HSA-CSASM Sony/Minolta to Sony Multi-Interface Shoe Adapter will not fit on a Hasselblad hotshoe. Get the Vello Hot Shoe Adapter with PC Socket for Sony Multi-Interface Shoe. Here is the link: https://bhpho.to/2AOISc7.

Q: 6. The description is confusing. It says Mount the latest model flashes on the hot shoes of older Sony/Minolta cameras... . This sounds like it's meant to be used on older cameras to mount newer (multi-interface) flash units. I thought this was for using an older (iISO) flash on newer camera bodies that have a multi-interface hotshoe?

A: The description is correct, it is the opposite of what you expected. This mounts new Sony Multi Interface Shot flashes onto older Sony/Minolta mount cameras. It allows those older cameras to physically fit newer Sony flashes.

Q: 8. want to use a minolta 5400hs and /or a 5600hs flash on my sony a7 and sony a6000. will this adapter work (Vello HSA-CSMSA Multi-Interface)?

A: I used this Vello adapter on my a77 mark 2 and it has some advantages over the Sony adapter. It is easier to tighten and has a tighter grip on the hot shoe and the flash shoe feels firmer on my Metz and Sony flash. My Sony adapter has has loosened at a family memorial service and a dance awards competition. The Vello is larger, and a firmer design. It also has a sych cord socket. I am sure it will fit your a7

Q: 9. what adapter can i use to use my sony flash (thats working now on my sony a7iii, ) on my nikon or canon camera?

A: There is currently no adapter for using a Sony multi interface flash on a standard Nikon flash hot shoe.
