Rosco Fluorescent Lighting Sleeves/Tube Guards are a reliable and cost-effective system for easy control of tough lighting scenarios - especially under fluorescents. In addition to the financial benefits of the sleeves, they protect against the potential shattering of glass by containing the lamp within the end caps.
Rosco sleeves are solid polycarbonate tubes with the specific filter held inside. The choice and combination of available filters is endless - there are complete Roscolux, E-Colour or Cinegel color filter lines - something for every venue, photographer, and cinematographer.

Q: 1. Wildlife photography: How would you rate the shutter noise when compared to the D7100/ D7200? I have read that it is pretty loud and disturbs birds. Also, I'm still trying to find out what the shutter is made of. I posted this question on the Nikon usa website and they didn't know. Thanks!
A: Nikon's Specifications for the Nikon D500 indicates the camera has both a Q (quiet shutter-release) and QC (quiet continuous shutter-release) mode. However, as the camera has not yet been released, we currently have no way to compare the camera's shutter sound to another camera at this time. I see no information stating from what material the shutter is constructed.
Q: 2. What is a recommended flash unit for the D500 using the shoe?
A: A recommended flash unit for use on the hot shoe of a Nikon D500 is the Nikon SB-5000, B&H # NISB5000. Please see the image below for reference.
Q: 3. ref: Nikon D500 DSLR Camera (Body Only, Refurbished by Nikon USA) BH #RBNID500R • MFR #1559B . what's the shutter count? On a scale of 1 - 10, how to you rate tthis camera?
A: Shutter count and rating are not applicable with refurbished cameras. The cameras are refurbished by Nikon and gone over and sold as new, with standard items in the box and a 90 day Nikon warranty.
Q: 4. Which QXD card(s) are recommended for this camera? Sony? Lexar? Other? And what size?
A: Sony and Lexar XQD cards will perform excellently with this camera. You can use up to 128 GB cards.
Q: 5. Does the REAR element (the one closest to the camera sensor) move during zooming and/or focusing?
A: The closest piece of glass to the sensor does not move during either function. There is an element behind that one that does move during zooming.
Q: 6. Since D500 is suitable for sport and wildlife photography, how would it perform when use in portrait and travel photography?
A: It will work perfectly for portrait and travel photography, too. Saying that the camera is suitable for sport and wildlife photography merely means that it has very fast autofocus to keep a moving subject in focus, and is more light sensitive-- so you can reduce shutter speed to freeze action.
Q: 7. How does the d500 camera compare to the D5 for wildlife photography? I shoot mainly birds. I am looking for a camera that does well in low light with excellent tracking. I like the crop factor of the D500 but am not sure how it compares to the tracking and low light capabilities of the D5. Any suggestions on which camera would be the better choice.
A: Having 2 of these, they focus in the dark. The speed is past anything other than the 6K$ bodies. Tracking is well covered by Thom Hogan, and is wonderful. 15200 photos in Botswana alone this year and very few missed focus, mostly because of me. It is an ISO invariant camera, look this up and study it, very useful info. Buy it, use it, like it.
Q: 8. Is there an OIS switch, where you can turn the stabilizer on and off ?
A: Unfortunately, this lens lacks an OIS switch as this feature is controlled in the camera.
Q: 9. what all is inspected and repaired or replaced in refurbishment?
A: Everything, the camera is completely overhauled by the mfr.
Q: 10. Do refurbished items come with everything in the box as new?
