The Techno is a compact high-tech camera offering all practical adjustment facilities for extreme short to longer focal lenses. All currently available digital backs can be adapted.
The Techno's design is based on the needs and experiences of the photographer with special emphasis to architectural photography. This means shift facilities, use of wide angle lenses starting with 23mm focal length and perfect control of vertical orientation. The camera is designed for 40mm of self-aligning vertical shift with exact parallel control. It has spirit levels at the lens standard and rear standard for precise vertical orientation, and a special wide angle bellows for extremely easy adjustments.
All operating elements are ergonomically placed and manufactured in Linhof precision quality. Scales showing millimeters and degrees permit exact control of the adjustments. By turning and leveling the lens, creative depth of field results can be achieved.
The self-aligning focusing is operated via the camera bellows extension and not via a helicoid system of the lens. This permits large extensions up to 240mm which is a prerequisite for long focal lenses. This camera is for landscapes as well as for close-ups.
All lenses in mechanical or electronic shutter systems mounted on Technika lens boards can be used. Digital lenses adjusted to the needs of digital imaging technique offer optimum sharpness, fully utilizing the high resolution chip sensors. Linhof recommends latest digital lens developments from 23mm to 210mm.
This Linhof camera features an eye-catching style. It is constructed of sturdy light alloy combined with carbon fiber.

Q: 1. I'm planning on upgrading from a nikon d5200 to a new camera. I have been interested in two models and can't figure out wHicham one wpull suit me the best . My dilemma is between the nikon d500 and nikon d750. I'm mainly a portrait photographer but I love shooting wildlife and landscapes. Please help me decide.
A: Do you want a great camera for every purpose? Buy a Nikon D500.Do you want a camera just for the FX sensor? Buy the Nikon D750.Attention: The FX sensor itself doesn't garantee a better photo. If I had to choose, my choice would be (and still is) the Nikon D500.
Q: 2. I just received my D500 and much to my dismay, Lexar 1000x SDHC (3) cards will not work properly. Non Nikon batteries will not work at all. Is this a design issue or a firmware flaw? I know of another D500 user experiencing the same memory card issues.
A: Since Nikon uses Sony sensors in their cameras, I use Sony cards they may cost more but I have never had a problem using them
Q: 3. When pre-ordering D500 with the Square Trade protection option, what is the starting date for commencement of Square trade protection? Is it the date when the pre-order is placed, the date the camera is shipped, or the date the camera is deleivered?
A: Square Trade coverage begins when the camera is shipped.
Q: 4. where is this made? the differences?
A: The Nikon D500 DSLR Camera is made in Thailand. No significant differences from any other Nikon camera in terms of quality.
Q: 5. Can I use 2 SD cards - one in each slot, or do I have to use 1 SD card and 1 XQD card? Thanks!
A: You have to use one XQD card. A second SD card cannot be used in the slot. The XQD cards are a bit expensive now, but the price will come down. They can gain you a lot of buffer speed if you shoot continuosly at a high fps. I use the XQD card for fast planes at air shows. It is amazing how many images can be taken simultaneously at 10 fps.
Q: 6. Is this refurbished by Nikon?
A: This item is refurbished by Nikon.
Q: 7. Is Nikon d610 compartible with Tamron 18-400lens.
A: The Nikon D610 would be able to accept the Tamron 18-400mm Nikon F lens, but since that lens is made for DX format and not FX of the D610, you'll lose resolution since it'll crop the sensor.
Q: 8. No light meter?
A: The D500 has extensive light metering. Spot, Center weighted, and Matrix. And it can vary the points the metering is done. Works with lenses up to f8 on a couple of selected points.
Q: 9. Will the D500 operate with only my SanDisk 64GB Extreme PRO UHS-II SDXC Memory Card installed, or does it also require the QXD card to be in the camera at the same time? I may have to wait before I purchase a QXD card & Reader.
A: Yes, you can use the UHS-II cards, you do not need to have the XQD card in too for it to work.
Q: 10. Are reward points given if I purchase from B&H?
A: If an item is eligible for rewards points, it will be designated on the product page near the Add to Cart icon.
