Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this product come with a license?

A: Yes it does.

Q: 2. Does Pro or Elite produce new ICC for paper and printer combinations?

A: Unfortunately the Datacolor SpyderX Pro Colorimeter is designed to color calibrate the monitor itself. It would not be capable of doing ICC profiles for printers and different types of paper.

Q: 3. will this work with microsoft surface book 2?

A: Yes, the Datacolor SpyderX Pro Colorimeter can work with the Microsoft Surface Book 2. The Datacolor SpyderX Pro Colorimeter will run on machines with Windows 7 32/64 and above or Mac OS X 10.10 and above.

Q: 4. will SpyderX Pro work on ASUS VG23A monitor ?

A: Yes. Will work if a end-user is on a mac or pc.

Q: 5. Can you actually completely calibrate an iMac?

A: The colorimeter cannot exceed the limitations of the iMac monitor. This colorimeter will calibrate any monitor to be as accurate as possible within the capabilities of that monitor.

Q: 6. Will this work for 2019 iMac?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 7. What is the difference between the spyderxpro and the spyder5pro?

A: The Spyder X series is the newest line of Spyder products with a redesigned sensor for faster scans, among other improvements.

Q: 8. Difference between SpyderX Pro and SpyderX elite?

A: There are two versions of the SpyderX: Pro and Elite. The hardware is identical, the difference is the software. The Pro version provides single and multiple monitor calibration, ambient light monitoring and before/after calibration review. The Elite includes all those features plus expert calibration settings, the ability to match multiple displays, video and cinema calibration targets, and calibration for projectors and soft-proofing for printers.

Q: 9. Will this product work on a Samsung 27in. curved monitor?

A: Yes, the Datacolor SpyderX Pro Colorimeter (B&H# DASXP100) may be used to calibrate curved monitors. As with using any colorimeter with any type of screen, the key is to prevent ambient light from getting into the sensor. We'd recommend turning off the lights in the room and closing any blinds prior to beginning the actual calibration procedure. It is not necessary to cover the monitor (with the colorimeter positioned appropriately on it) during calibration with a cloth or cover to prevent light from entering, but it could be a good idea if taking measures to limit ambient light is not possible or not especially effective.

Q: 10. Will the Datacolor SpyderX Pro Colorimeter work with the Dell XPS 9560 4k?

A: Yes, the Datacolor SpyderX Pro Colorimeter would be compatible with the Dell XPS 9560 4K.
