The ikan BP2-SU Sony DV Battery Plate is an interchangeable battery plate designed for use with ikan's VX7, VX7e,VX7i, VX9, VX9e, and V8000HDMI v2 LCD monitors. This plate attaches to the back of the monitor and allows you to power the monitor or light with the same Sony BP-U type batteries used by your camcorder. The BP2-SU Sony battery plate also works with the ikan iLED155 light and the QwikSwitch battery charging system. You can easily swap plates if your battery situation changes, so you don't have to buy a completely new monitor, light or charger, just replace the plate.

A: Specs-wise they're going to relatively handle the same payload. The EC1 is more advanced, and thus, under most condition, would be a better fit based on the advancement of its system

Q: 10. I purchased the Ikan Stratus Cage for my Sony A7iii after I was told on the phone by someone from B&H that this cage will work with my Sachtler Ace XL fluid head. But so far as I can tell, that doesn't appear to be the case. The screw and stud on the Sachtler plate don't match up with the base attached to the Stratus cage. The stud on the plate (next to the screw) prevents the cage from being completely secure. Facing one direction, the stud rubs against the edge of the Stratus base to prevent a level tightening. Facing the other direction, the stud isn't far enough away to fall into the larger screw hole in the Stratus base. The distance between the screw and the stud on the Sachtler plate is not far enough for the stud to extend past the Stratus base or slip into its larger screw hole. Is there an adaptor for this or a workaround?
