Q: 1. Will it work with a Canon EF-S 55-250 f/4-5.6 IS STM mounted to the Canon SL3?

A: Unfortunately, the EF Extender EF 2X III is not compatible with the Canon EF-S 55-250 f/4-5.6 IS STM.

Q: 2. I've got a 5D Mark IV and a 6D. I'm assuming this won't work with the 6D and that's fine. I've got all L series lenses: 70-200 2.8 III; 24-70 2.8 II; 85mm 1.4; 35mm 1.4 II; and the 17mm TSE which I know won't be compatible. Should I have this extender in my bag? From everything I've read the x2 extender will double the aperture and it has to be at f8 and faster for crisp images and autofocus to work correctly. I don't want to buy it and be disappointed so any clarification would be appreciated!

A: Canon Extender EF 2X III is compatible with 70-200mm f2.8 , you will lose 2 stops of light and it will become f5.6 ,it's not compatible with your other lenses

Q: 3. Will this work with an EF to Micro 4/3 speedbooster?

A: Yes, it will work assuming you are using a Canon L series lens that is compatible with the 2x converter.

Q: 4. I saw a Youtube video saying that this will work with the 5DMIV and Sigma Art and Sport lenses. Is this true?

A: This is dedicated to Canon to the L series tele lenses. It is not compatible with other manufactures lenses. Sigma makes Its own High quality dedicated teleconverters for their Art and Sport series of lenses: B&H # SITC1401C and BH #SITC2001C

Q: 5. Is it compatible with a Sigma 150/500 Lens?

A: No, it is not. The Canon Extender EF 2X III is only compatible with Canon lenses (and only a small sub-set of Canon L-series telephoto lenses).

Q: 6. Will this work with either the 180 macro or the 300 f/4?

A: The Canon 2X III is compatible with the EF 180mm f/3.5L Macro and the EF 300mm f/4 (both IS and non IS versions).

Q: 7. is the canon extender EF 2x iii compatible with a Tamron 18-400 lens?

A: You will have to use manual focus and your results may vary. It is not something I would recommend.

Q: 8. I have a Canon EOS RP, which has an RF mount. I also have a Canon Control Ring Mount Adapter and a EF 70-200mm f/2.8 III that will be delivered soon. Is it possible to attach the Control Ring Mount Adapter to the camera, then attach the EF 2X extender and the 70-200mm lens to it?

A: Yes. You can attach the EF-to-RF Control Ring adapter, then the Canon Extender EF 2X III, followed by your EF 70-200mm f/2.8 lens. It will work brilliantly! With any of the adapters, you actually can only use the EF teleconverters rather than the RF teleconverters, so this is the right way to do it.

Q: 9. Hello, I have the canon t5i camera with the 70-300 with stabilizer . Someone posted a pic of the moon and said they hav the same lens with the t2 canon using the extender. The photo was very nice and large. Will this work with my camera?

A: This extender will not be compatible with the Canon 70-300mm lens.

Q: 10. I have an M50 and a Viltrox EF-EOS M2 0.71x Lens Mount Adapter for Canon EF-Mount Lens to Canon EF-M-Mount Camera. Can I attach this to the Viltrox and then attach my EF lenses to the Canon Extender EF 2X III?

A: You can attach this extender to your Viltrox adapter. However, the added weight may pose a risk to your EF-M mount.

Want to save the weight of a 500mm or 400mm lens from your bag? Go with a smaller lens or two and carry one of these helpful little guys. Unless you need that killer f/stop this might be your answer. This week I am hiking the Sydney bridge and opted to leave my 300mm and 500mm at home and just take 70-200mm with this guy.
