Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this printer print 2x2 photos for passports?

A: Hi Diane. No, the smallest print size is 4x6, then you would need to cut down manually to 2x2. Another option since you already have the DS620A printer is to purchase a Tmini. When combined with the DS620, it creates our SL620A Snap Lab product which does have a passport feature/software in the system. Check out our website for details around the SL620A.

Q: 2. What memory cards work with this camera? the two I got from the recommended products were LEXAR Platinum II 32 GB SDHC cards, but the manual says the camera needs a minimum of 64 GB per card, and I get a memory card warning when I put these in.

A: Dump the 32. Get 128. Then you'll have no problems, just fun.

Q: 3. Are there issues importing MXF files into Adobe Premiere? Does anybody have experience with this?

A: There should not be any issues importing files from the XF100 in to the latest version of Adobe Premiere.

Q: 4. Will an Azden SGM 1X mic work with the Canon XF 100?

A: Yes, the XF 100 accepts XLR microphones like the Azden SGM 1X mic natively. You can use this 1.5' cable: Kopul Studio Elite 4000 Series XLR M to Angled XLR F Microphone Cable - 1.5' (0.45 m)

Q: 5. Does this camcorder shoot in true progressive, or is it interlaced?

A: This camcorder offers 24/30 fps at 1080p, which is a progressive frame rate.

Q: 6. As a sublimation printer, can it print pics to be transferred onto mugs or shirts if you use transfer paper instead of photo paper?

A: No, this can only use the ribbon and roll kits that are designed for this printer. They would not have any transfer paper options.

Q: 7. Could this work with the JVC GY-LS300?

A: We think that it should. Probably the battery mount will need to be reversed to accommodate the longer body of the JVC GY-LS300 vs a DSLR.

Q: 8. The pay load of 509 hd head is 13.5kg and it has a maximum counter balance of 12 kg,so can i use ursa of 7.5 kg,cannon lens of 4 .5 kg and battery ,view finder of 2 kg,(total of 15 kg) ,on this head? Manfrotto repreaentative says it is compatable to upto 25 kg,plse reply, regards dr asok

A: The 509HD has a load capacity up to 29 pounds or 13.1kg. A total of 15kg is above the load capacity. You would need to look at the Manfrotto 526 instead, which has a load capacity of 35 lbs or 16kg.https://bhpho.to/2NbClNJ

Q: 9. I have a canon xf100 that has started saving a filming session on multiple files instead of just one. How can I correct it?

A: The MXF Files Format that the XF100 uses will require you maintain proper file structure when importing the footage in to a Non-Linear Editing System. The best practice is to copy and paste the entire contents of the memory card to your computer and from there import the footage in to your editing system. The files may be broken up on the card, but once you import them in the system they should be joined up. If you require additional assistance feel free to email us at ask@bandh.com.

Q: 10. Can you use the magnify button on the camera to fine-tune focus during recording?

A: The Magnify Focus Assist Function is available while recording with the XF100. This will allow you to make sure you have your subjects in focus.

This film is really remarkable. It's easy to print and exhibitssurprising exposure latitude. The grain structure, especiallyin medium format, actually produces a quality, spatial resolution, and grey-level discrimination that is just impossible with any form of digital photography i.e. how many silver halide crystals can dance on the head of a digital pixel. If the negatives are scanned at 1200 dpi much of this grain structure can actually be retained if printing with an Epson R2400 printer but even that won't approach wet chemistry prints in appearance. Just try to enlarge a digital camera exposure as much as this stuff will support. Problems Encountered: Finding this stuff--luckily it's consistently available through B&H photo. Previous Equivalent Items Owned: Push Tri-X or any other 400 ASA film. Items I Recommend: Manual Camera

I've used this film for over a decade and continue to so so within the context of my continuously developing photography hobby of over 60 years. The film has surprising exposure latitude so it can be used for for all sorts of photography: available light, motion capture (blurred or just fast), and a wide variety of concurrent lighting conditions within the same frame. The grain really isn't too bad in medium format; I develop in Rodinal. I think that the film's resultant grain structure enables wet chemistry enlarged prints, using fiber-based graded paper, to have an intriguing appearance.

This is my absolute favorite film ever. The images that this film produces are among the most beautiful and most dramatic ones I've ever taken. The photos have a profoundness to them. You won't go wrong with this film stock. Love it so much!

Bought Delta 3200 with intent of pushing to ISO 6400 and beyond in pinhole camera. At ISO 6400 I was able to expose handheld 1/25 sec at f175. When developed in Ilfotec DD-X, the results were far better than I thought possible.

This is gorgeous film, I usually shoot it at 1600 and process normal for daytime (and normal shooting) and 6400 for lowlight and nighttime stuff. The frame can be a little much in 35mm but shooting 120 looks amazing. Not muddy at all, rich blacks and clean light grays and whites. Have fun shooting it!
