A: It will work, but be very careful when buying the Vesa Mount. the screws are very cheap and will break. its kinda sad, but make sure apple is responsible if your monitor fails at all, the screws are very cheap. A: The maximum on the clamp is 2.4", which is significantly wide. The only thing that may be possible is to remove and/ or replace the plate, while still maintaining integrity and safety and protection of desk underside.
