Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this film work in a Bolex 480 Macrozoom?

A: Yes the Kodak VISION3 200T Color Negative Film #7213 (Super 8, 50' Roll) can be used in the Bolex 480 Macro Zoom camera.

Q: 2. Will this work on GAF XL125 camera?

A: Kodak VISION3 500T Color Negative Film #7219 (Super 8, 50' Roll) is in a Super 8 cassette and will work in any Super 8 camera, including the GAF XL125 Super 8 Movie Camera.

Q: 3. HOW DO YOU LOAD THIS FILM INTO A BELL AND HOWELL 8MM MAGAZINE CAMERA?

A: Sorry, but you cannot load this into any 8mm movie camera. This is a Super 8 pop-in cassette where the film has smaller perforation holes than the perforations of 8mm film. For your camera, you need this black and white film which is the only one in the world that will work with your camera. Foma Fomapan R100 Black and White Transparency Film (Double Standard 8mm, 32.8' Roll) B&H # FOR1002XS810

Q: 4. When im filming outdoors with film 50D..do i have to switch ON 85 orange filter for daylight or do i have to switch for artifical light ..im asking u becouse is a new negative daylight film??Are settings about the filters during filming the same if digitalise negative film and print or if i develope from negative to positive for projecting?

A: 7203 is ISO 50 rated for 'D' - Daylight. You would need a filter to properly color balance for use in Tungsten (traditional artificial) sources. As you can see from the chart on the box cover - the lightbulb (artificial light) graphic shows that with an 80A filter, the film is rated ISO 12 (the filter reduces some of the light reaching the emulsion), whereas in sunlight, no filter is required, resulting in a ISO of 50.Not entirely sure if i understand the second part of your question, but in general, you want to expose the film properly no matter how you plan on processing/ finishing.

Q: 5. does this film our on my Argus M3 Cinetronic movie camera?

A: Short answer: no

Q: 6. Does this work with my canon auto zoom 814? I'm just trying to figure out which type of film works best with this camara.

A: Yes, it is compatible with the 814.

Q: 7. Will this film work for a Kodak Instamatic M8 camera?

A: This film will be able to run through the camera. If you have the camera manual you can check if the camera will recognize the 200 ISO value of the film so the automatic light meter is adjusted properly. In older cameras the light meter battery is difficult to replace, and may not be working. If this is the case you can use an external light meter to be safe.

Q: 8. So when I get done shooting, I cannot just simply process this and play it on an old super 8 projector right? It has to be scanned to digital right? If so, can someone direct me to color super 8 that can be played on a projector (if that is even being manufactured now)

A: The Kodak VISION3 50D Color Negative Film #7203 (Super 8, 50' Roll), B&H # KOV7203, is negative film. While you may use the above film on an old Super 8 projector, do note it would look weird as all the colors would be inverted. It is designed to be scanned and kept for archival purposes while reversing and editing the digital files. If you are looking for chrome reversal film, the Kodak Ektachrome 100D Color Transparency Film #7294 (Super 8, 50' Roll), B&H # KOE100D50, would be positive film that does not need to be reversed to properly show correct colors. It may be played and displayed properly on a Super 8 projector. That being said, do note that this film has low contrast and scanning and editing the film in digital post-processing is still recommended for optimum performance.

Q: 9. Will this work in a Kodak Zoom 8 Automatic Camera? Inside the camera it states, Use Kodak 8mm Roll Film''.

A: Great question Sheri, unfortunately this is not compatible with your 8mm camera.

Q: 10. So with 50 feet that would be approx how many minutes of film( 3mins, 5 mins?)

A: At a rate of 18 frames per second, this film will last for 3 minutes and 20 seconds. At a rate of 24 frames per second, the film will last for 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
