This lens is compatible with all Canon EOS DSLR cameras, and your Rebel T3 is compatible with any autofocus lenses made by Canon for the EOS system, as well as those made by other manufacturers for the EOS system. It is worth noting that with the 1.6x crop factor of the Rebel and APS-C sensor cameras, that this lens is really not so wide. 1.6 x 35mm = 56mm.
