Kodak's Professional T-Max 400 is a high-speed panchromatic black and white negative film featuring a unique T-GRAIN emulsion to provide a very fine grain structure with a high degree of sharpness and edge detail. It has a nominal sensitivity of ISO 400/27° along with a wide exposure latitude for rating the film up to EI 1600 and push developing. Its versatility benefits working in difficult lighting conditions and with moving subjects, and its fine grain profile, broad tonal range, and high resolving power benefit scanning and enlarging applications. Additionally, the film is well-suited to scientific and biomedical work, especially when fluorescence in photography is required.

This item is one 100'-long roll of standard-perforation 35mm film designed for bulk loading applications.

A: Kodak VISION3 50D Color Negative Film #7203 (Super 8, 50' Roll) is 8mm movie film and cannot work in a KODAK Disc 4000 because that is a photo camera. I've used this film for years and can't seem to find any other stock that has grain this tight with an exposure latitude as wide. Even in 35mm format, I can get amazing enlargements with a tight grain structure. Yes, of course there is grain, but it's very sharp and an appealing characteristic. I've been able to get an incredible dynamic range from the film and even more if you dodge and burn during printing. It can withstand a very generous amount of over/under exposure as well. A couple times I bumped the aperture ring on my lens and under exposed by about 3 stops and still got a pretty decent image. I'm moderately happy with digital scans on a Noritsu but would prefer a traditional print which is much richer. It's kind of like the difference between shooting RAW or JPEG with RAW being the traditional photographic print.

People have all different opinions when it comes to film types. I have always loved my results from the T-Max films. For me this film always produces beautiful crisp sharp prints. The film capture a full tonal range from great highlights to deep blacks with an excellent balance of contrast.

Good tonal range and even contrasting. This speed film works well with skin tone in nature and artificial lighting. But the subject must be well lit or the photographs will all be under exposed.

I like this film, it’s priced right for 24 exposures. I like it with an orange filter for portrait and landscape work.
