Kodak Professional Ektachrome E100 is a daylight-balanced color transparency film characterized by its extremely fine grain structure, vibrant color rendering, and overall low contrast profile. The lower contrast values contribute to a wide dynamic range and a neutral tonal scale for greater color accuracy, and a low D-min helps to ensure brighter, whiter whites. It has a medium-speed nominal sensitivity of ISO 100/21° when developed in E-6 process and the smooth grain profile pairs with a micro-structure optimized T-GRAIN emulsion to make it especially well-suited to scanning applications.

This item is five rolls of 120-format roll film.

Q: 1. So when I get done shooting, I cannot just simply process this and play it on an old super 8 projector right? It has to be scanned to digital right? If so, can someone direct me to color super 8 that can be played on a projector (if that is even being manufactured now)

A: The Kodak VISION3 50D Color Negative Film #7203 (Super 8, 50' Roll), B&H # KOV7203, is negative film. While you may use the above film on an old Super 8 projector, do note it would look weird as all the colors would be inverted. It is designed to be scanned and kept for archival purposes while reversing and editing the digital files. If you are looking for chrome reversal film, the Kodak Ektachrome 100D Color Transparency Film #7294 (Super 8, 50' Roll), B&H # KOE100D50, would be positive film that does not need to be reversed to properly show correct colors. It may be played and displayed properly on a Super 8 projector. That being said, do note that this film has low contrast and scanning and editing the film in digital post-processing is still recommended for optimum performance.

It's really nice to have an additional slide film to choose from that's not Fuji. It brings a lot of hope to the future of film. This film is acts similar to Provia except that it's more blue sensitive, whereas Provia is more magenta sensitive. The highlights have a more gentle rendering, but it doesn't mean it has more dynamic range. The colors really pop, particularly the reds. The film base itself is quite thicker than Fuji's, which makes it dry flatter. And the film is very scanner friendly. Very easy to correct and adjust on the computer.

This is a must-buy if you shoot film..

Very happy Kodak made a 120 version. Absolutely beautiful results. As far as positive films go it seems to me to have a little bit more exposure latitude than say provia, maybe a half stop more lenient on your highlights.

Dreamy results! Perhaps not the most realistic with regard to skin tones but the blues are beautiful and it really brought a new dimension to my shooting. Like any reversal film, you have to be very aware of shadows and make sure to give extra thought to your exposure but that's the fun of it!

I am so glad Ektachrome is back. I always like the colors in this film. Right now it is my favorite film. Of all time it is my second favorite. Can I say my number one film of all time is Kodachrome. Kodak, are you listening? Are there any other film photographers out there who want to see Kodachrome brought back too? I just had to get this out there for Kodachrome.

This was my first time shooting Ektachrome 100 in medium format, and I was blown away by the beautiful color rendition and total lack of graininess. I have already bought more roles and can't wait to see how it looks shot in 6x9 on my Fuji 6x9 Pro II
