I have a Mac Mini with an HDMI video output. I have an LG flatscreen monitor with both a VGA and DVI input. Apple wants me to spend $29 for a Mini Display Port to DVI Adapter; or $29 for an HDMI to DVI adapter. (You get the idea they are fixated on the number 29 . . . ) Plus I have to have the interim cable; that's 4 connection points instead two - never a good thing. OR B&H has a 3-foot HDMI to DVI cable, for NOT $29. One cable; two connection points. PLUS the cable itself is big-boy heavy duty thick. 'Nuff said. 5

Bought this since I needed to convert from DVI as my monitors did not have them. Was concerned about the resolutions past 1920x1200 (as spec-ed, single vs dual link DVI, active vs passive, etc) and lo and behold, plugged in both ends, and my GTX970 DVI to HDMI input on the Asus came up at full 2560x1440. Works great, cheap price, and as usual fast B&H shipping! 5
