Q: 1. The older 14-150mm walkaround lens was f/4-5.6. How limiting is the f/6.3 on this lens. What kinds of lower light would work with it before handheld blur occurs?
A: Depending on camera and if the camera has Image stabilization , I would not go lower then 1/30 on shutter speed
Q: 2. Does this have environmental sealing like the 12-100 f4?
A: Yes this lens would be environmentally sealed.
Q: 3. Does it have a focusing clutch for manual override in auto-focus?
A: There is no focusing clutch , but you can manual override the focus
Q: 4. Is there any lens creep with this lens? I ask because it does not appear to have a zoom lock. Thanks.
A: There have been no reports of lens creep on this lens.
Q: 5. As with all things Leica, I own several Bessa rangefinder bodies as I refused to in the past and continue to refuse to accept that the antiquated method of loading film et al, would of itself produce better pictures. In my view this was but one aspect of the M body that has been deified to the next that most shooters do not have the courage to criticise a camera that may have been a piece of ground breaking engineering on the release of the M3 ( which I have), but surely not the better part of half a century later.Their glass, provided one does not need to sell a kidney to purchase even the great Summicron 50/2 as it was when I purchased it + the 35Aph/2 in its oringinal iteration. Not to be mention the R8 and 9 which did not have auto focus when this method of focussing ruled the world. Add to that the fact that R8 and R9 bodies have fallen off the cliff price wise and it is enough to make one a little jaundiced toward the litter red dot. Now, can someone please convince me that Leica actually make batteries? Of course they don't. And it galls me to see the prices being gouged by Solms for these items.I purchased and still have one of the first Leica digitals -no, not the embarrassingly tinny point and shoots. I managed to obtain a 3rd party spare. Who had its name all over the unit? None other than Panasonic who via B and H charged a reasonable price , if it can really be said that OM batteries are fairly priced. No prizes for guessing where they are made. Why not 3rd parties being offered here. Not enough people projected to purchase the camera to amortize the cost of the production. But given that Leica would not be making batteries for this camera, why not adopt a cinical approach and have the 3rd party actual manufacturers make a run of lens and offer them as legit. compatible batteries.
A: Is there a question here or just a rant?
Q: 6. Can it fit the black magic pocket 4K?
A: Yes it will work on the Black Magic Pocket Cinema 4k https://bhpho.to/2HM2tLD.
Q: 7. Can this battery be charged by the Panasonic charger? a href= http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/924860-REG/panasonic_de_a79bb_battery_charger_for_dmw_blc12.html target= _blank http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/924860-REG/panasonic_de_a79bb_battery_charger_for_dmw_blc12.html/a
A: Yes that charger will work with this battery. Also the Watson Compact AC/DC Charger for DMW-BLC12, BP-DC12, or BP-51 Battery will work too. Website link: http://bhpho.to/1gcd2jA
Q: 8. What is the Crop in 4K mode, is it 2.2 over full frame like the GH4?
A: The GH4 has a 2.3x crop factor when shooting 4K, and the GX85 will be the same.
Q: 9. Can the Panasonic DMW-BLC12 battery be substituted for this Leica BP-DC 12 battery?
A: You might also consider the Watson equivalent (sold at B&H) for about quarter the price. I have a couple and it seems to be an identical battery.
Q: 10. Is the Olympus MC-14 Teleconverted compatible with this lens?
A: I'm sorry, no, only works with M.Zuiko Digital ED 40-150mm f/2.8 PRO Lens M.Zuiko Digital ED 300mm f/4 PRO Lens.
