A: YOU WILL HAVE TO BUY ELINCHROM NIKON HS REMOTE TO GET FULL TTL CAPABILITY, ELB 500 HEADS ARE DIFFERENT FROM THE ELB 400. I'M NOT SURE THEY ARE FULLY COMPATIBLE.

Q: 9. I've heard that the two oghts have to be set to the same power output. is that true? Can one of the lights be at 500 ws and the other dialed down to 200ws?

A: The light has full asymmetry, so you can adjust either side to what ever power you would like.
