Neumann's WNS100 Windscreen 45mm (Black) is an open-cell polyurethane foam which attenuates close-range sounds, wind, and fast movements of the microphone boom.

The wind-noise attenuation was measured without electrical filtering in a turbulent air stream traveling at 20 km/h, generated by a noiseless wind machine.

The WNS 100 windscreen is specifically designed to fit the KM 100 and Series 180 microphones.

A: Micro four thirds lenses will not work on the Sony a7RII. B&H does not carry a M43 to Sony E-mount adapter, nor am I aware of one on the market. The M43 lenses, such as this 45mm f/1.8, are designed for a sensor half the size of the a7R II. So, even if you were to find an adapter, the lens wouldnt cover the entire full frame sensor. An optic would also likely be needed in order for the lens to retain focus at infinity, as the difference in the register between the two mounts is just over 1mm.

A: It does have manual focus, but it is focus-by-wire. Because of that it does take some getting used to, and I greatly prefer a lense where you physically turn the glass, but you will get used to it if you use it enough. I don't use it as often for video where I am pulling focus, but it looks great for set shots such as interviews where you don't have to change the focus much if at all.

A: No. Sounds like another bad copy. I have been using mine one I'm two Panasonic models GX7 and gm1 with no such problems

A: It is a ring for front of the lens that covers and protects the hood bayonet fitting when the (optional) LH-20B hood is not being used. As an accessory there is a package of 3 rings in black, silver & white that can be used to change the aesthetics of the lens.

A: Yes, it is not just for portraits but it can be used for landscapes, street photography, and just about any type of photography. I find a short telephoto such as this (equivalent to 90 mm for full-frame) to be the most useful of all prime lenses (much more so than a wide angle IMHO). I find this lens to be somewhat comparable to my 105 mm Nikkor, which I use for my film shooting.
