The Lastolite Joe McNally Ezybox Hotshoe - 24 x 24 is designed for hotshoe usage only (or the small Elincorom Quadra head when using the Lastolite Ezybox Quadra Speedring Adapter, B&H # LAEBHSEQSA). The only Ezyboxes that have an adapter for the larger Bowens S-mount usage are the Lastolite Ezybox Pro softboxes designed for use with studio strobes.

A: You can attach the Revo Hot Shoe to 1/4 -20 Male Post Adapter B&H # RESACS14M to the bottom of the shoe which accepts the flash, since that shoe has a 1/4 thread. This will allow you to slide cable into the cold shoe attachment on the Ezybox.

A: As delivered, this softbox will NOT mount to a standard tripod mount. However, if you additionally purchase a double-ended spigot and an umbrella swivel mount, the combination can be attached to a standard tripod 3/8 or 1/4 inch thread mount. The umbrella swivel mount comes with a brass spigot with 1/4 & 3/8 tripod threads. The additional spigot allows you to attach the softbox flash bracket assembly to the swivel mount. This combination also gives you the ability to tilt the softbox. I recommend the Manfrotto 026 umbrella swivel adapter and the Manfrotto 013 double-ended spigot.

A: Yes you do. The mount that comes with the kit will not let you pivot up or down. I would recommend the Lastolite Tilthead. I originally used another umbrella mount but the weight of the soft box kept pulling it down. The Lastolite Tilthead has rachet ridges built into the pivot that locks the angle in to what you set.
