Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this head suitable for monopod with feet like ifootage cobra or manfrotto mvmxpro? The head with mvmxpro500 does not pan fromhead

A: Yes, the Manfrotto MVH500AH Fluid Video Head with Flat Base is compatible with an iFootage monopod like the iFootage Cobra 3 Aluminum Monopod with Mini Tripod Base and the Manfrotto MVMXPROA4US Aluminum XPRO Video Monopod+. The Manfrotto MVH500AH Fluid Video Head with Flat Base offers panning.

Q: 2. dies it come with a bubble level and can I use it with a sony pxw x70?

A: A bubble level is included and it is a great option for that camera.

Q: 3. Is the pan handle and the base plate that your camera can screw into included?

A: Yes, it comes with everything pictured

Q: 4. I need to find the little wing-looking lever that locks the plate in place in case it slides. Can't find it anywhere - do you know where I can order it?

A: I believe the piece you need is part R1036,48. To confirm, please see the following parts diagram.http://bit.ly/1FPQ6XMThis part is not stocked by B&H; please contact Manfrotto. http://www.manfrotto.us/contact-us

Q: 5. does this head use real fluid capsules or just friction disks?

A: Tilt Drag fluid cartridge with fixed dragPan Drag fluid cartridge with fixed drag

Q: 6. I have the Mvh500ah head with its Long plate. If i buy the Mvh502HD, I know the plates are different, but can they fit tightly on the other? In other words, are the 2 different plates interchangeable and a solid fit for the other head?

A: The answer is kind of . The 500PLONG plate used on the MVH500AH head has an extra lip on one of the long edges because that plate snaps into the top of the head and is held down by a latch. It will however also work if you use that plate as a sliding plate on the 502 head. Even though its shorter, the width is the same and lip now serves no purpose with that head. The plate from the 502 head on the other hand does not have that lip, so is not a secure plate to use with the 500 heads. So if you want to use both heads but one plate, choose the plate from the 500 head.

Q: 7. Can I mount a fluid head (Manfrotto MVH500AH Flat Base Pro Fluid Head) onto the Manfrotto 560B-1 Fluid Video Monopod with Head Replaces 560B?

A: From the looks of the photos, it doesn't look like you could replace the head itself. The Manfrotto MVH500AH has a 3/8 female screw hole. The Manfrotto 560B-1 has a 1/4 quick release plate. So the two would not work. It doesn't say that you can remove the head completely and if it has a 3/8 screw to mount a new head on. If you wanted you could get an adapter for the 1/4 plate to mount a 3/8 female thread.

Q: 8. I want to buy this tripod and use this with the medium sliderplus pro and a canon 5d & 24-70 lens. If I remove the head and place the slider on the tripod, then attach the head on the sliderplus pro, will the slider bend at the ends???

A: The Sliderplus Pro are designed to be use the way you described. In fact, there is no other way for it to work. Therefore, it will work without bending.

Q: 9. Will the tripod legs extend out horizontally? Looking to get the base all the way down to the ground for low angle shots.

A: I can get the legs out so they sit almost completely flat on the ground--perhaps 1 or 2 degrees above 90 degrees, with the center column then bringing the top of the head plate to 16.5 above the ground.

Q: 10. Will this fit my manfrotto 628B monopod and hold a 7d with 70-200 lens?

A: I use this with primaphto with 1 4 to 3 4 adapter for the ball head and which can be detach to tripod to monopod with 70-200mm lense. Tilt is perfect in monopod but panning can be hard but nothing that practice can do. Not sure if helps but good luck
