The Photogenic 3/8" (0.375mm) Diameter Stud with 1/4"-16 (0.375mm) Male Thread is used to mount light fixtures with a 3/8" receiver to the Photogenic AD91 suspension system. Alternate uses include floor, ceiling or wall mounting said fixture to hardware with the appropriate 3/8" tap. It comes with a 3/8" (0.375mm) nut.

I use these to mount or hang just about anything on a light stand. I use them in conjunction with pole hooks to hang a paoer pack from, or a 5/8 Pin to hand a light from, or background hooks. 5

I use these clamps with Manfrotto 492 ball-heads to secure and position a dozen specialist cameras in a motion capture laboratory environment. Fantastic holding power. I use 2 of these to suspend a 42 pound load of a 9x20 vinyl background with a 21/4 steel pipe core from 2 Manfrotto auto poles. This has been hanging for 3 weeks with no slippage and minimal clamping power. I have 2 additional on the same auto poles that suspend another pipe for additional use. 5
