The Tiffen 4.5" Round Double Fog 2 Filter simulates the effects of natural fog or mist by creating a soft glow around highlights and lowering the overall contrast of the scene. When compared to the standard Fog filter, this filter places greater emphasis on lowering the contrast while maintaining sharpness and minimizing the effects of flare. The 2 density provides a moderate amount of fog effect and requires no exposure compensation.

Tiffen filters are made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and then mounting to precision metal rings.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this lens be used (with an adapter of some kind) on the Canon C100 Mark II Cinema EOS Camera?

A: I'm afraid not. There is no adapter that will allow you to put a 1/3 B4 lens on an EF Mount Camera like the C100 Mark II. They do make adapters for B4 to EF, such as B&H #MTB4CANEF, however it requires a 2/3 B4 lens with a 2x Extender. Lenses like that start with the Fujinon XA20sx8.5BERM-K3, which is B&H #FUXA20SX85BE.Another thing to keep in mind is that Canon is about to release the CN-E 18-80mm lens which you can pair with the ZSG-C10 Zoom Grip, B&H Numbers CAE1880EF and CAZSGC10. The CN-E 18-80mm will give you a servo zoom lens that does not require an adapter or any additional power supply when used with the C100 Mark II.

Q: 2. I purchased a Canon 10-18 and it flairs horribly with overhead interior lights. Since I shoot architectural for real estate I can't deal with that. Does this 10-22 flair with overhead lights as well? Thanks.

A: You may experience flare, however, this can be corrected with the use of a lens hood.

Q: 3. can it hold a lee system with the plastic mount?

A: Yes. A Lee filter system can be used with this lens. It will require a 67 mm adapter.

Q: 4. is this compatible with the old rebel xt?

A: Yes, this is an EF-S lens and is fully compatible with the Canon EOS Rebel XT camera.

Q: 5. will this work on a Canon R6 body using the Canon adapter?

A: The Canon EF-S 10-18mm f/4.5-5.6 IS STM Lens is compatible with the Canon R6 camera when using the EF to RF adapter. However, because it is a crop sensor lens, it will only work in crop mode which reduces the resolution to about 9MP and increases the effective focal length of the lens to 16-29mm. This 15-30mm full frame RF lens would be a better option for the R6: https://bhpho.to/45Eqduf

Q: 6. Can a 2/3 B4 lens be used with a 1/3 sensor? Will it create any change in the focal length "effect" like using a full frame lens on a Apsc-sensored camera? Thanks!

A: Yes you can adapt a B4 lens to work on a 1/3 Sensor camera. This will result in a crop factor (aprox 1.8x)

Q: 7. weather sealed?

A: Not that I'm aware of.

Q: 8. Is this 10-22mm lens compatible with the canon 70D?

A: Any Canon lens designed for SLR cameras will have one red dot (EF lenses) or a white square (EF-S lenses). These will correspond to respective markers on the camera's mounting ring. If your camera has both (like the 70D has), then it will work with either lens, including the EF-S 10-22mm lens above. The EF-S lenses are tailored for the crop sensor in the non-full-frame range of DSLR's Canon manufactures. The EF lenses are for the full frame sensors that equip the likes of Canon 5D (I, II, III) and 1D(S, X, etc) range of cameras. The EF lenses look different on a crop sensor camera: for example, a 50mm EF lens would look equivalent to an 80mm EF-S because of the crop factor the 70D has (1.6) compared to a full-frame camera. Note the lens is still an effective 50mm (that does not change).

Q: 9. is there any way to attach a ring light to this lens?

A: The lens doesnt have a front filter thread, so there would be no way to attach a ring light to the lens. Though, with a minimum focus distance of .79 (20 mm), you would likely be looking to find some lighting coming from the side. Or, if the item being photographed is relatively translucent, you might also consider lighting it from the back.

Q: 10. Can I use my filter system 100x150 mm Hilda? Is it internalisera focus?

A: Yes you can use a filter holder on the FUJIFILM GF 35-70mm f/4.5-5.6 WR Lens. You just need to have a holder lens adapter or step up adapter that works with the lens's 62mm filter thread.
