A: No, this will not work. When using the Nissin Air R receiver, it must be paired with the like Air 1 Commander. So if you are using a Sony Air 1 Commander it must be paired with the Nissin Sony Air R Receiver. Likewise with Canon and Nikon.You can use the Air 1 Commander cross platform only when you pair the commander with a Nissin flash that has a built in receiver. So, you could pair the Nissin Air 1 Commander from Sony with a Nissin Di700A for Nikon because the receiver is built into the flash. This will be the same case with the upcoming Nissin i60A flash.

Q: 3. How well do the clips hold on to the reflector? Will a little gust of wind blow it off?

A: The stand has worked out well for me. I use it indoors for portraits and headshots. I have not used it outdoors.

A: I don't know. I bought the Nissin for my Nikon system and could never get them to work so I sent them back. Look at Phottix or Godox (sold under many names) for my wireless trigge/commander for a better system. I ended up getting both and love them.

A: This receiver can be connected to a Metz BL 400 monolight using the standard sync cord into the sync terminal of the receiver. You can then fire the flash using the Nissin Air 1 Commander for Sony Cameras with Multi Interface Shoe B&H # NINDA1S. Please see the image below for reference.

Q: 8. I have several Metz 64 ttl flashes for Sony. Would I be able to use the Nissin air R and a Nissin air transmitter to trigger my Metz 64 ttl flashes?

A: It should work according to Nissin as long as all of the flashes have the same multi-interface hotshoe.but only testing will tell.

I was looking at getting the Manfrotto Snap Tilthead bracket, but it's getting mixed reviews on how well it will hold a flash. What other umbrella bracket do you suggest that gives a secure hold? A: Hi Suzanne,I too looked at that head but found mixed reviews. The major issue I found from my reading was that the snap tilthead doesn't allow for locking of the flash in place. This is because of the 600ex's weather lock which the snap tilthead doesn't cater for. In the end I went with the following:- MA026 - Manfrotto Swivel Umbrella Adapter (Lite-Tite)MA143S - Flash Shoe for Magic ArmThat said I haven't used it yet because the Joe McNally softbox comes with the Ezybox Hot Shoe Mark II Bracket which is what I use to hold the flash in place.

A: The plate is not compatible with an L bracket. L brackets are for use in a quick release clamp. The heads of Mefoto Air tripods are too small a clamp to accommodate L brackets. The regular Mefoto tripods are compatible but not the Air versions.
