The American made Beseler 67XL-VC-W Variable Contrast (Black & White) Enlarger utilizes a massively braced column to assure more than adequate support for even the largest magnification images. A 50mm lens will project 16 x 20" images from 35mm negatives onto the extra-large baseboard.

This enlarger is supplied with a state-of-the-art, interchangeable 67VC-W lightsource with continuously variable dial-in contrast grades -0 to +5 and bright, white light focusing. Its computer designed exposure control device automatically maintains a constant printing speed throughout the entire contrast range, eliminating the need to recalculate the exposure when changing the contrast. Its uniquely integrated diffusion chamber eliminates heat related problems at the film stage.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is a power adapter required or do I just plug it into the wall outlet?

A: No power adapter needed, plug and play :).

Q: 2. can I use large format (4X5) negative carrier on this enlarger?

A: I'm sorry, this enlarger is for working with 35mm negatives only.

Q: 3. can this developer be used for black and white film?

A: It certainly can. I use it with my photography students, we work only with black and white film.

Q: 4. Can I use medium format 6x4.5 on this enlarger? Seems like I can't, right?

A: Correct, only 35mm.

Q: 5. Where can you purchase the light source component for B&W enlargements?

A: The Beseler 45M Condenser Lightsource, BH #BELHC45M, fits the Beseler 45MXT Enlarger.

Q: 6. Can a enlarger timer be hooked up to this kind of enlarger?

A: Absolutely. Just plug the timer into your AC outlet and plug the enlarger into the timer.

Q: 7. This is the perfect enlarger for me! I also want to experiment on 120 medium format film (6x6cm negatives), but noticed that the only negative carriers for this film are made for Beseler 67 & 35 Series Printmaker Enlargers. Would 67 & 35 series negative carrier fit in this enlarger?

A: Hi, Paris ! .... It will not accept anything but 35mm negative carrier. This is a bare bones system , and the lens you would also need, may not fit!!! It is what I use to make my contact proof 35mm... You could however use it for the same purpose with 120 with and 8x10 120 proofing easel. Hope that helps.

Q: 8. How does it move up and down? Do you manually move it and then lock it with the knob?

A: The Beseler Cadet II Enlarger with Lens Kit has a manual counter-balanced elevation system, with a screw-knob lock to keep it in place.

Q: 9. Can you add a red filter to the path so you can position the paper without exposing it or is this model not equipped to add anything to it? (I'm a beginner)

A: There is a filter drawer on this enlarger.

Q: 10. What enlarger lens do I need for 120mm film?

A: It depends on image size (6.45, 6x6, 6x7) but typically a lens between 75mm-95mm is standard.
