This Arca-Swiss Long Quick Release Camera Plate is 5.9" long and has two adjustable 1/4"-20 camera screws. The distance between the two screws can be adjusted from 1 to 3.9". An extra camera screw is included with the plate.

A: The normal Arca plate will fit. The camera plate is not supposed to sit flush against the base but use the top finger to hold the camera plate. It does it well and very sturdy. The bottom finger and base pin will hold lens plates where the pin adds extra protection against sliding out. Get this monoball. I love mine.

Q: 3. Hello, I am wondering if the scale ring is fixed with main knob or it is rotatable separately from the main knob? My product has this situation, I don't know if its the manufactural problem

A: I just went and looked at mine and that scale ring is securely attached to the main body of the unit. When I release the small lock near it, the entire unit rotates, scale and all. If your scale pivots by itself, perhaps there is a setscrew on the underside you can tighten but otherwise, I'd think it is a manufacturing defect. The scale ring must move with the unit or it serves no purpose.

Q: 4. What's the difference between this model and the flip lock version? What is more sturdy?

A: The difference is this one has a knob that you would turn to lock and unlock the clamp versus the flip lock on the other version. There really isn't one better than the other. It is mostly personal preference.
