The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is cocoa and features a Switchcraft TA5F connector for use with Lectrosonics wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Compatible with peak design tripod?

A: The GH-M1 is compatible with the Peak Design tripod, but you will need the universal head adapter from PD. https://bhpho.to/3rChEhV

Q: 2. Where is this made?

A: According to our records, this item is made in China. Please note that this is subject to change at any time.

Q: 3. does this have a flat base?

A: Yes, this has a flat base.

Q: 4. When I mount a DSLR camera on the QR plate and slide it in place and try to tighten the plate locking handle, the handle runs into the camera body before it tightens all the way. How do I tighten the knob?

A: The knob is spring loaded. Simply pull the knob out and re position for another twist.

Q: 5. I have a Benro adventure 2 series tripod. Will this work on it?

A: Yes, the Benro GH2 Aluminum Gimbal Head would be comaptible for use on a Benro Series 2 Adventure Aluminum Tripod.

Q: 6. How do you remove this head if mounted on a tripod, so you can use fluid head on a monopod or other device?

A: If you are ordering this product (just the head), there is no need to remove it from anything as it is the head only. If the FM18 head is mounted to a tripod raise the center post and lock it. Look underneath the center post top cap and you will see two allen screws. Loosen these screws and the head will now twist off.

Q: 7. Where is this tripod head made (country of manufacture)? Thanks.

A: I can't find anything on the head or the packaging showing where it was manufactured. I would suggest contacting the company directly.

Q: 8. Is this arca compatible for "L" brackets?

A: Unfortunately the clamp is not arca compatible.

Q: 9. Could this work on a monopod? Will it work alright with lighter lenses as well as heavier ones (is there a minimum weight requirement?)?

A: Benro GH2 Aluminum Gimbal Head does work on a monopod with a 3/8" screw. If you don't keep the monopod exactly straight the center of balance will change so the lens will move. That might not be a problem for you if you are holding the camera and panning and tilting but the benefit of having a gimbal will be diminished. Another issue is that it is very large and heavy. It weighs 3 lbs and is 9.5 inches tall so can be hard to hold on a monopod by some. It does not have minimum weight requirement. For a monopod I would recommend this gimbal: Wimberley MH-100 MonoGimbal Head for Monopods https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1513932-REG/wimberley_mh_100_monogimbal_head.html

Q: 10. Is this 100mm or 75mm? The Q&A here is contradicting the product description.

A: The Benro BV10H is indeed a 100mm bowl tripod head. https://benrousa.com/bv10-100mm-video-head/
