The Countryman E6i Cardioid Microphone is a miniature ear-set microphone for virtually invisible operation in stage performances, trade shows, houses-of-worship, auctions, lectures and much more.

The cardioid version effectively minimizes off-axis feedback and noise from nearby monitor speakers, instruments and noisy sources. Flexible microphone positioning is maintained and the included windscreen minimizes the wind noise often associated with cardioid microphones.

The E6i is set apart from the original E6 with its softer flexible boom and silicon ear-pads. The flexible boom provides ease of boom adjustability to accommodate multi-user applications.

A wide variety of colors and connections are available for use with various wireless transmitters. This version is tan and features a Switchcraft TA4F connector for use with Revolabs wireless transmitters.

A miniature cardioid capsule is mounted to a low-profile, flexible frame. This lightweight, unobtrusive design is available in various colors that virtually render the entire microphone invisible against the skin.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual headset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy, as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate various wireless transmitters. The Duramax 2mm diameter cable provides extra strength, flexibility and durability.

The cardioid polar pattern is effective in minimizing off-axis residual noise from e nearby monitor speakers, instruments and loud sources. The result is increased signal-to-noise ratio and minimal feedback. The flexible boom provides a custom fit for multiple users and close microphone positioning. The E6i is also available in an omnidirectional version for maximum control over wind noise and plosives (popping).

This E6i's sensitivity response is optimized to accurately capture general speech without noise and distortion.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. wondering if this head would work thing arcs swiss plates?

A: Those all are smaller (narrower) than the supplied plates for this unit, so to resolve that, adapt a low profile quick release (Belkin or other) to the S8 plate

Q: 2. Is the plate and ballhead Arca compatible? It looks like it, but just to be sure.

A: Yes it Is. It will accept my Really Right Stuff plates including the L brackets. I also just purchased the Peak Design camera straps/sling package and both the square and rectangular plates from this system work as well.

Q: 3. Is this arca compatible for "L" brackets?

A: Unfortunately the clamp is not arca compatible.

Q: 4. How does this attach to the tripod? I have a Manfrotto tripod.

A: The following unit offers a Base Mount of 3/8"-16 Female opening.

Q: 5. Will manfrotto pan bars attach to this head? In a perfect world I'd like to pair a manfrotto RC Pan Bar with this head...

A: More than likely it will not. Pan Bars tend to be specific to the manufacture or even to the head itself. That being said Manfrotto does offer B&H # MAMVR901APCL, which is a clamp to attach MAMVR901EPLA to a tripod's existing pan bar.https://bhpho.to/2xmQpeGhttps://bhpho.to/2nn5KFj

Q: 6. Hey i heard that flat heads are meant for stills not video is this a exception

A: Definitely not for stills. It can be used for stills of course, but its purpose is much smoother pans and tilts than what you can even hope for from your still photos setup. The head is too big to be comfortable as a standard head for all uses. For stills, I use a quick release ball head on a dedicated medium weight tripod. This video head is dedicated to a solid heavier duty tripod with the intent of mounting the camera directly to it for pans and tilts, or locking it down and mounting a slide or other cinema tool that carries the camera in motion.

Q: 7. Is this the FM18 or FM18/2? I just got burned buying the ProVista tripod clearly showing a picture of the FM18/2 (like this product image) and received the FM18 which is stiff and not as fluid.

A: It's the FM18/2.

Q: 8. Can I attach to the Promaster SHP36P ball head?

A: The Magnus GH-M1 Gimbal Head has a 3/8"-20 socket and could be attached to most tripod legs. It includes an Arca-Type Quick Release Plate designed to be used on long lenses with a tripod foot. This head is not used at the same time as a ball head.

Q: 9. Does this head is compatible to Manfrotto Xpro Section Monopod?

A: Yes it is. You can use this head with the Manfrotto XPRO Prime Base 3-Section Aluminum Monopod, BH #MAMMXPROA3BU.

Q: 10. How do you remove this head if mounted on a tripod, so you can use fluid head on a monopod or other device?

A: If you are ordering this product (just the head), there is no need to remove it from anything as it is the head only. If the FM18 head is mounted to a tripod raise the center post and lock it. Look underneath the center post top cap and you will see two allen screws. Loosen these screws and the head will now twist off.
