The Countryman E6s Omnidirectional Microphone is a miniature earset microphone for virtually invisible operation. The compact size and placement just in front of the ear make this microphone particularly well-suited for intimate theater and broadcast applications, or any use where low mic visibility is a key factor.

The omnidirectional pickup pattern provides a generous and forgiving pickup area around the perimeter of the capsule, while the stainless steel construction stands up to daily use, makeup, and sweat. The mic also comes with 3 different interchangeable caps that let you choose between a flat, bright, or very bright frequency response.

This version of the E6s is cocoa and comes with a 1mm diameter cable. It terminates to a Screw-on TA4-F connector for use with Mipro and Beyerdynamic wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the maximum size of memory card which this camera can accept?

A: No idea the maximum but I use four 64 gig cards one after the other. That's a lot of pictures and I haven't had a single failure in 4 months of shooting. It's not smart to put all your pix on one card. Its a recipe for disaster.

Q: 2. Does this camera allow streaming or sharing pictures and videos to my iPhone through WiFi?

A: Yes, using Sony's Imaging Edge app. You can transfer images, and videos to your phone, then share them from your phone. As far as streaming, you won't be able to stream from your camera's WIFI. There is a workaround, but not using WIFI.

Q: 3. Is this mic suitable for capturing bird calls outdoors and, if so, what would be its useful range?

A: The Rode VideoMic NTG Hybrid Shotgun Microphone can be used for capturing bird calls outdoors. The optimum operating distance will vary depending on the environment. The mic is very directional and it is designed to pick up sounds from directly in front. In a quiet environment it will do a better job of picking up sounds that are further away. If there is a fair amount of noise in the background, you will be able to focus in on the sounds that are up to about 6 feet away most clearly. A good way to estimate what the mic will pick up is to use your ears and if your ears can hear the sound clearly, the mic should be able to hear similarly when pointed in that direction. If your camera has a headphone output you can use headphones to monitor the audio while recording.

Q: 4. Does Sony have a proprietary post processing program like Canon's DPP 4?

A: It is recommended to use Capture One Pro 23 (Download), BH # CAPRO23D for post processing. https://bhpho.to/3K4fdxD

Q: 5. Is this camera also made in China like most of Sony's cameras?

A: Made in Japan.

Q: 6. Does it accept a600 lenses

A: Yes, it is possible to use the lenses from the Sony a6000 Mirrorless Camera on the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera. Though double check that they are Full-Frame lenses, because if they are APS-C they will either crop or have heavy vignetting.

Q: 7. For the 24-105mm lens, is this the one designed for full-format? What is the model number?

A: Yes, the 24-105mm lens, supplied with the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera with 24-105mm Lens and Accessories Kit (128GB Card, 2250, is a full frame lens, and it is model: BH #SO241054G • MFR #SEL24105G/2

Q: 8. Are there any reports of it overheating while taking photos, or just 4K video?

A: I have not heard reports of the Sony A7iv overheating while taking photos.

Q: 9. can you plug 3.5mm into camera and also plugin usb for charging (and not use 3.5mm as monitor)?

A: Yes, the 3.5mm output jack on the Rode VideoMic NTG Hybrid Analog/USB Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone can be connected to the mic input on a camera while the USB-C output is connected to a portable USB power bank for charging. You should not use a USB wall plug for charging or connect the mic to a computer for charging while using the 3.5mm output for recording to a camera as there can be noise introduced into the audio signal generated by the electrical line that will be recorded by the camera.

Q: 10. Brand new Sony a7iv is coming in sealed box from B&H?
