A: The I60A definitely has a lower profile than most full size flashes but is 20% larger that the I40. The I40 would definitely be better for travel.

Q: 3. i60A and DMC-GX8?My i60A is supposed to be compatible with and work with micro four third cameras. Yet since purchasing it it has NOT worked, not once! And to compound things, I've been unable to find reference materials, let alone a manual. The Flash setting in the GX8/record menu is grayed out so I can't see/adjust settings. Thanks for sharing your own feedback or solutions about this problem.

Please be sure that the flash is pushed all of the way into the hot shoe. I realize that this sounds basic but we have seen this before where the flash is not pushed all the way forward so that the contacts are not lining up. You should hear a small click sound when the locking pin engages.2. There are several setting on some cameras which will not allow a flash to fire. Some of these include, silent mode activated, electronic curtain activated, (a flash will only fire with the mechanical shutter), continuous shooting mode.3. You may want to reset you flash to factory defaults and then put the flash in A mode for testing. The Flash that you are selling are already updated and therefore with Hight SPEED being activated on Fujifilm cameras ? I want to buy two Flash i60a with you and I need to make sure that this time the models that I will receive will be running Hight speed sync.

A: Nissin has said they will update customers when an update has been created and finalized for their products.

Q: 5. I keep hearing about these firmware updates for the i60a. can anyone tell me if this is something the customer can do or do you have to send the unit back to the factory?

A: The firmware update for the i60A cannot be performed by the owner. It must be sent to the area distributor to have this done. There has been only one firmware upgrade for the i60A. This was to allow it to work properly on the X-T2 and X-2 Pro. To check a specific flash, you can call the USA distributor at 603-504-6317. Most flashes have already had the upgrade performed prior to shipping so most likely there is no upgrade needed. If you are using on a camera other than the X-T2 or X-2 Pro, no upgrade is needed.
