Q: 1. I've borrowed this from a friend, and tested it on all of my Vintage Nikon Primes. It worked on my 50, 85, 105, 200 but it created a bad vignette on my 35 and 24. Is there a solution to that, besides not using those lenses?

A: I am afraid most likely nothing can be done. (I wish we could test it) That is because the Anamorphot is simply a cylinder with glass elements in it. While this is fine for the longer lenses, to work with the wider ones, it appears that the cylinder would have to be enlarged. Do know that anamorphic lenses in the 1950's were not very wide either do to design constraints as well. Panavision's venerable anamorphic C lenses only opened to 35mm. Introduced fairly recently, Panavision's newer G series has gotten to 25mm.

Q: 2. Can this be used with an 7artisans 35mm f1.2 MFT lens on a GH5? I know I would have to use a step-up ring. Thinking about vignetting and if focusing would be a problem.

A: This lens will work with the 7artisans 35mm f1.2 MFT.

Q: 3. Do I need to use any diopters with this adapter or does the lens maintain its original focussing range?

A: We are not aware of any diopters that you would use or even need to use with this product. However adding the Range Finder will simplify the process of focusing with this anamorphic adapter. Q: 4. Can i use this lens with a 16:9 projector to create cinemascope projection images? The schnider lenses for this specific use is so much expensive!

A: While we do not know of anyone doing this, we are of the opinion that since the numbers of 16:9 and 1.33x are in the correct relationship, excellent widescreen movie viewing will result.

Q: 5. On a Nikon lens, when this adapter is mounted, wont it turn along with the focus ring on the front?

A: You can only use this on lenses that do not rotate when focusing. If your lens does rotate, this will not work.

Q: 6. Will this work on my Sony X70 Camcorder (it has a 62mm Front thread)?

A: While you may be able to physically connect the Anamorphic Adapter to the PXW-X70, we are not sure how well it would actually work. That is something you would need to test out to see the results. This adapter is a Returnable Item at this time.

Q: 7. Will this work with the Lumix 12-35mm?

A: With the use of a 58mm to 62mm step-up ring, you can mount the Anamorphot to the Lumix 12-35mm lens. However, consideration must also be given to the shape of the camera sensor when selecting the Anamorphot. On any camera that records video in a 16x9 format, (which includes the GH4, the camera most associated with the Lumix 12-35mm) it is recommended that the videographer use a Anamorphot with the 1.33x squeeze. This creates the 2.40 aspect ratio that most videographer desire. The trade off is there is a loss in flare and other traditional anamorphic artifacts. If you use this one, the 2.0x, on a 16x9 rather than a more square 4x3 video format, the result is an aspect ratio that is usually considered much too wide. Q: 8. Is this anamorphot compatible with the Canon lenses 50mm f/1.4 and 85mm f/1.8 on a Canon 60D?

A: the Rear Mounting Threads on this adapter is 62 mm it will only mount on lenses with 62mm filter threads
