Rig up your Odyssey monitor recorder with the Movcam Standard Bracket. Attaching to the back of the Odyssey 7Q, the Standard Bracket has various 1/4"-20-threaded mounting points for mounting other accessories. On the rear of the bracket is a secure point for attaching a V-mount or Gold-mount battery plate. Two rosette attachments are included for either mounting the monitor to a larger rig or attaching handles to the Odyssey for a mobile director's monitor configuration. The bracket itself is ventilated to keep the Odyssey monitor cool during long shoots.

A: My understanding is that the body for the A7 and A7S (which I own) are identical; therefore, this cage will fit your Sony A7. Also, the cage will fit on our GlideCam perfectly - for convenience, I'd recommend buying a quick release plate - but you already know that.Best of luck...

Q: 2. Will it fit if a V-Mount battery plate is mounted on the back?

A: This cover is going to offer a pretty snug fit. It may not be able to accommodate a V-Mount battery, especially since they can be a bit larger. However if you have a cable like the Convergent Design D-Tap to Odyssey Neutrik Power Cable (36"), B&H # COCDODDTAP, you will be able to use a V-Mount battery that has a D-Tap Port for power. A: While many 15mm rod system components are interchangeable, I do not see how this Movcam item would work with any Chrosziel LWS baseplate.For a Sony a7s 15mm rod system with handles, may I suggest this one? The SHAPE handles are my favorite of any I have used because they easily change but are rock solid.

A: The ARRI artemis Monitor Bracket Gen. 2 for SmallHD (7") is not compatible with the SmallHD Cine 7 as the dimensions for the SmallHD Cine 7 and the SmallHD 703 are different.

A: Garbage. Do not buy it. Sent mine back. Bought a much better, cheaper and secure design from Westside AV.
