The RDL Format-A Series Active Loudspeaker features a white grille and is designed to deliver rich, detailed sound while in Decora-style compatible wall or chassis mounts. The loudspeaker is a single-pair audio amplifier module compatible with RDL Format-A twisted pair products. The speaker is powered by its twisted pair cables, which also offer different channels to accommodate more than one sound source. A rear-panel switch set during installation determines which of the three Format-A pairs are amplified.

Amplification is provided by the built-in high-efficiency Class-D power stage amplifier with audio filtering tailored to produce crisp quality audio.
